What does your Dad serving in the army have to do with the Police kicking this guy's head in?
Witness how ordinary men and women of the armed services used to be held in respect as to what personal sacrifices they had made in order to protect this Country. Nowadays if they leave the barracks wearing their service uniform, chances are they will end up being attacked by certain members of the community who intensively dislike the UK and all it stands for. Police have a very hard job to do and again are an open target to be attacked in one way or another. Little notice is taken on this on this forum when servicemen or police are attacked, killed or wounded in the course of their duty but of course much made of it when it seems like the police have stepped out of line. This latest incident has still got to be fully investigated before full conclusions can finalized as to the lead up to this happening.

I get where you are coming from Sid, and tend to agree.
On the face of it both crimes look bad, one is life threatening one isn’t, but many people focus more on one than the other. I’m appalled by both.
I agree that the police one does need full investigation. For example if the guy being kicked had just beaten up the offending policeman’s colleague, smashing her nose – a female officer did get her nose broken – then as with any friend/ colleague/ family member, the desire is to protect and take some revenge. Of course it’s an ‘if’, and of course the police must be better than that and follow rules so I would still condemn it, but it would give a slightly different complexion to it, and in those circumstances I’d struggle to have much sympathy for the guy kicked. Hence we do need the full picture.

Kent police need to work on their comms as well, describing the stabbing of a serving soldier as a “serious assault” after the fella has been charged with attempted murder.

Disgusting. Should get jail time. Probably won’t but should.

Dunno, article suggests it's likely he'll go down, as he should. Will wait and see.

Whilst I don't agree with the disdain shown towards people in service they do not sign up as a personal sacrifice to protect the country these days, it is a career choice like any other. You cannot compare now to war times when you're chance of dying was close to 100% and it really was a personal sacrifice to protect the country.

Pretty sweeping statement. Without volunteers we’d probably have national service so I’m very thankful to them.

B.whitehouse+10more~;- No justification for what he does, needs to be kicked out and charged, strange though how no one has posted a video of the 3 armed response cops getting the sh*t kicked out of them by this guy on the floor and his family / mates, all 3 needing hospital treatment.
You could have added that these nice geezers also broke the jaw of a policewoman. That would have spoilt the narratives of Maxy & his ilk. Also if these rogues had got hold of the weapons of the armed officers, that they had done over & started shooting the filming bystanders, I wonder what the public would have said about that?
You are wasting your time with Whitehouse on any subject. He is just a wum. Personally I have no comment on the above incident but in future I would advise you respectfully not to bother with whitehouse he likes to argue for the sake of it.
Hello darling how are you doing

Nothing there that justifies kicking a restrained man in the head, this isn't some kind of 'Gotcha' moment. Both the Police and those assaulting them in that clip should face the repercussions they deserve.

I know there's no point playing this game and I should know better, but just for the sake of it, why do you think they used parentheses around the word 'victims' if not to infer that their actions nullified anything later dished out to them?

Because some people are trying to make out the people arrested are entirely victims in this whole incident when the truth is more nuanced

Maybe take a step back and ask, did I misread the situation and pigeon hole this post from random internet person into the worst possible interpretation of what he was really trying to say and instead just accept it for what he actually said and other people took it as.
Or don’t, I’m not your father.

Even the GMP aren't claiming a female officer had her jaw broken so why are you spreading that apparent misinformation?
You clearly have not seen the whole video where a female PC gets lumps smashed out of her and other morons are punching other police. Friend or Faux is spot on highlighting this and the hypocrisy of the anti-police brigade, like the clown across the border, who would be the first crying out for help from plod if the same treatment was meted out to them.
