Well Forde is not doing too great at Rovers either. Richie knew how to get the best out of Ruel and Forde but he is not getting a return in goals from Kelman as of yet, same does for O Neil and Dan A this season.

Haven't seen where BR are playing Forde but one thing to remember he was brought in at Orient as a striker and wasn't much cop in that role. Moved out wide he was a lot more effective.

Forde scored yesterday, and got rave reviews for his overall game. That is the first time though - he's been building up match fitness until now. We've only one real Number 9, who has been injured, so Forde has been one of several 'attackers' without being target men (our late signing O'Donkor might also turn out to be a Number 9)

Sotiriou has been used in a similar role, and is match fit now though probably wasn't for the first 5-6 games of the season. He's been industrious, but probably a middling performer to date

Bit strange that neither Ruel or Forde were fit to start the season?

Whilst I can’t thank Travis enough for saving the club, I feel he can’t take us any further and only massive new investors will allow us to bring in the quality players needed to not only get us promoted and be able to sustain life in the Championship.
The talk of a new Stadium in the next 10 years is all well and good but that is far too long to tread water or possibly be relegated. The rise in ticket prices in my opinion is unrealistic and will not be sustainable with the home record many will stop attending, it’s just not value for money now never mind a 10 year wait.

"Get it done" - never liked this phrase even before it became a banner cry for the feckup called Brexit. If NT is struggling to attract new investors then how, exactly, should he make this happen? I think NT knows his business, knows the appetite for investing in UK football over in the US. Are you suggesting he doesn't?

Thing is that investment seems to be earmarked for an expensive training ground that's 1/3 for the first team and 2/3 for the academy / women's team. Still seeing very little output from the former and the latter now appears partially outsourced.

As an investor would you want to put money into something that doesn't show any immediate effect on the pitch?

The upshot to that could be transformative for the club and is a much bigger deal than being a striker short this season. It'd remove the hard ceiling on growth we currently have, short of lucking out with a benign mega investor who's happy to swallow losses of tens a millions a season whilst we're hemmed into a small capacity stadium that can't be expanded.

Likewise, framing a new training ground as some kind of indulgence feels silly, it's an investment in the next few decades of the club. None of us know how shoddy our current facilities are or what the potential benefit would be to a significant improvement. It's a judgment call being made by people who have achieved success with us so far and know the clubs situation far better than we do (for example, cost of renting vs paying down the borrowing on a site we own, sporting advantage better facilities offer, potential for improving the academy etc).

Only one solution, new massive investment now before the rot sets in and we somehow manage to stay in League 1 or get relegated .
The future does not look promising.
