It's an area we're really lacking in strength and depth for well over a year. When you go from 4 senior pro strikers down to 2 it will have an effect.

The only 2 strikers we have Kelman and Agyei played mostly on the wings. Adyei is a greedy player that tries to beat too many players. Teams are beginning to know how to play them and we don’t have too many other options.

It seems to me that Perkins and DJ were pointless signings and a waste of money . Should have just brought in one proper striker instead of those two .moonwalk19 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2024 10:21 pmThe only 2 strikers we have Kelman and Agyei played mostly on the wings. Totally agree, too many gambles on kids and strays. No point making chances when we don’t take them. Would rather have 4 chances and score 2 than 13 and score none.

DJ wasn’t brought here as a striker, I believe.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2024 10:46 pmIt seems to me that Perkins and DJ were pointless signings and a waste of money . You basically concede the game when you bring Perkins on at the end.

DJ has been sent to Boco Island I reckon as there’s no sign of himHoover Attack wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2024 10:54 pmDJ wasn’t brought here as a striker, I believe.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2024 10:46 pmIt seems to me that Perkins and DJ were pointless signings and a waste of money . Re: Please buy a striker with a bit of pedigree
Look at josh mcgennis ( Exeter no27) tonight
practically run there frontline won the header
for there goal and brought everything under
control when the ball was played to him..
That’s the difference between quantity and quality and that’s what we are lacking in the
final 3rd ..

He was the perfect fit for them.Hedmans Header wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2024 11:21 pm Look at josh mcgennis ( Exeter no27) tonight

Not so sure he’d be able to press for 90 minutes as he’d have to in our team.

They scored and the team kept a clean sheet. Can we desist from these logical non sequiturs.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2024 11:23 pmHe was the perfect fit for them.Hedmans Header wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2024 11:21 pm Look at josh mcgennis ( Exeter no27) tonight

Re: Please buy a striker with a bit of pedigree
What have I been saying for ages, yes I’m not the the only one I know but to me Wellens is better picking his nose than picking a decent striker, and yes I do think he’s a good manager but just doesn’t know a decent striker or keeper. Fact.

Re: Please buy a striker with a bit of pedigree
Hasn't scored a goal this season, Kelman has three. A bit easier to play in a frontline on the break rather than against a team sitting in with five at the back. Our forward line was fine at Stockport. We sign Mcgennis and our problems are solved, I don't think so.Hedmans Header wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2024 11:21 pm Look at josh mcgennis ( Exeter no27) tonight

We sign any decent big lump striker and at least
here’s hoping he can get on the end of the crosses
that Kelman and Galbraith gave no chance of getting on ..

Hemming has been fine and really picked up the last 4 games...not fair on him.

Re: Please buy a striker with a bit of pedigree
It was a proper odd recruitment window.
Unfortunately proven strikers cost a ton of money and considering the system we play, it probably is wiser to have a deep midfield.
That said, we are proper f*cked if we get any injuries/either don’t find form
