They're called prisoners. How they have been detained may be immoral and/or illegal, but they are still technically prisoners. Hostages are people who are kidnapped and held as security for the fulfilment of a condition (i.e. a ransom or exchange of prisoners).

It's okay to be critical of Israel's detainment of Palestinian prisoners whilst not falling into the trap of trying to draw moral equivalent with Hamas abducting civilians, such as a two-year old child, at gun point.
