Next time Orient drag a load of local disadvantaged children onto the pitch for a half time penalty shootout and walk around the pitch, I wonder if you lot will boo them and demand Orient make them pay for their tickets.

Of course i understand it , i just wanted to make sure you did .
J.S.A technically does not exist any more ,it all now falls under the umbrella U.C
Still thats splitting hairs .

As for getting nothing
Why should someone with a huge amount of savings be claiming
"Dole " from the government & be unhappy ?

Regardless of how much has been paid in to the system from 1977
or any other year for that matter .

When you need i you'll be entitled to it .
It’s called JSA not Universal credit.
And why should someone like you claim £2600 per month in benefits to support 2 people?
This is the equivalent to someone going to work and earning 39 k.
A heck of a lot of people get a lot less than that for working.
Do you intend on getting a job?
As i said
My mum received £1350 for her pension &
her high rate of disability living allowance ,
She also got £600 odd for housing benefit for her rent .

Also demolished a small pot of savings i had .

I slept on a sofa for 2 & a half years whilst looking after her &
Got £500 a month for Income support & a carers allowance .

Which all stopped in the january of 2019.

For 7 weeks i got the £500 still , then end of march it dropped to £261 after deductions
Should have been £380 odd .

Lord knows what it would have cost the state to do it & to be fair
With all the cuts made , i didnt fancy leabing her in the hands of
those sho might not take it seriously.

I intend to get a job once i have been evicted from her flat &
find out where im going . Thats all on hold due to covid though .
So Tuffers,
First of all, good for you looking after your Mum.
So you are getting £13572 pa.
And you have to pay Council Tax on that?

Why don’t you just get a job? Why should I have to give you £75 a week to sit on your arse?
Wind your neck in.
I get nothing.
Go and get a job, I ain’t paying for you to sit at home and post on here all day
Read the bottom line.
Or get someone to read it for you.

Also,
You say you would previously had received £380 per week?
This would be the same as someone getting up and working 40 hours for a gross wage of 24k
This is clearly wrong as the welfare state is a safety net, not to replace work.

I can definitely see some sort of workhouse type arrangement returning within the next 30 years.

Seriously.

If it wasnt for the pending eviction
Id be working gig or elsewhere .

Its all down to where i end up & how it gets played.
Evictions notice was lifted at the end of spetember
so i could be out any day again.
Unless something comes to light
Need to sort the housing before anything else .

You're planning to make yourself intentionally homeless instead of seeking employment now? You do realise councils will take a dim view of this?

If you lived near to me, then I could drop you round a carrier bag of runner beans out of my garden I have a glut of them this year, given away so many, same thing applied to the glut of tomatoes i had, but they are finished now. Jobseekers allowence is around £74 a week and if seeking work, well round my area, pretty sure you do not have to pay council tax and council rent if unemployed or very low income.

White bread sausage sandwiches or chips & a butty can pack the weight on.
Its not healthy & its not good for you but filling up with pasta & white bread you
could put a stone on no bother.

My tomatoes are grown outside in my small garden, as are my runner beans.
