Please don't reply with the usual 'don't bother and save yourself from years of torture' etc etc, I'm a lifelong Hull City fan who has been through it all - crowds under 4 figures, owners locking us out of our own stadium, bottom of the entire league with 1 month of the season to go etc.

To actually answer your questions

Current team is good but shallow and lacks a striker

Pro manager who doesn’t get enough backing from the board but the chairman is a local fan so gets a pass. The Director of Football who has achieved three promotions in various guises comes in for a lot of of slack. The main bank roller pulled his money in the summer

No rivalries really given West Ham, Brentford etc have pulled away. A section of the fan base dislike whoever Steve Evans happens to be managing

Club legends of late Edinburgh, Kevin Lisbie, Scott McGleish and Gianvito Plasmati

Whenever the next Saturday game you can do. Book in advance, North stand for families, East for old people and people that aren’t season ticket holders, south for chanting and having a pub in the stand, West for average people and watching Mat R***r

East Stand for oldies? Not sure I agree. Loads of youngsters sit around me. A very hip crowd of the Francis Road brigade sit in my row and lots of others behind.

From experience, most of the Coffin Dodgers sit in the West and have trouble with the stairs.

East stand: pensioners
West stand: moneyed swingers
South stand: cool people; some reformed hooligans and the Teenage ultras!

Agreed with those percentages of the supporter base.

So many people priced out of watching local big guns matches or wish to support a team in a city they’ve moved to make up a lot of the new support. Also those disenfranchised from the money and greed of the top flight.

Orient is an excellent day out with friendly fans, excellent pubs (make sure you go and see Tuesday at the Northcote on match day) and decent eateries near the ground.

I’d suggest a Saturday 15:00 ko but we’ve only had 2 of those since the start of the season (I’m not joking) so Cambridge at Sunday 29th would be a good debut. Or wait until the Derby cup match.

I supported The Tigers, for family reasons, in the 60's then discovered Orient via Spurs. Have been to the old Boothferry Park a lot of times and the old Boulevard. Was at Wembly for the play off promotion to the premier league. No need for reasons, just turn up. I should add I was at Boothferry when Orient won, a match around 1999 which turned out to be their last away win for about 50 games ( a run ended by Alex Ingelthorpe at Northampton I believe.
