Not sure that's true - clubs are more willing to pay inflated fees in January to address shorter term problems. If the clubs after him want him to go straight into the first term, then this is the best point to sell him at.

Fingers crossed he stays for the rest of the season so he can help get us over the line with staying up. In the summer we'll need to replace our entire promotion winning midfield - Pratley surely can't keep going, Miz will likely be off either now or then, and Moncs is done. Still feel that Galbraith can take one of those roles, but we'd need a steady ball winner in the Pratley mould and depending on where Sanders fits in, either a new 10 or a Miz replacement. Brown then acts as cover.

Brown definitely has the potential to be our first choice 4 and is rightly ahead of Galbraith in the pecking order.

Brown Galbraith and Sanders could be pretty solid as a first choice 3 tbh, but a bit lacking in experience. You want one older bloke who's happy to do the dirty stuff. If three go out in the summer, my guess is the no.10 replacement could double up as wider cover, and then we'd sign two out and out midfielders.

I would like to see more of Sanders before making a judgement. Good game at the weekend mind.

According to my Ipswich supporting golfing friends from the time we lived in Suffolk, they do need the money.

Yeah I saw they took the Blackburn captain on loan as he was on too much for them and needed to shift. Paying for that with a squad player who isn't Championship / Prem ready makes sense
