If he does go it's vital we get a replacement in, would only leave us with Brown and Pratley as CDMs with the latter needing minutes to be carefully managed to get the best out of him. Sanders is looking good in the CAM role and Galbraith is no enforcer, doing bizarrely well at RB though.
Brown is a CDM. El Miz can play CDM.
Pratley is not a CDM.
For what it's worth, I thought El Miz had his best game of the season on Saturday playing as an 8.
Talk on here if El Miz was to leave because Ipswich sell him, we would need a replacement. Let me say, El Miz is irreplaceable . We, as a league 1 club, would never be able to get anyone of his quality in his position.
If El Miz would want to come to us on a perm, we should pay whatever Ipswich wanted, even as much as £500,000.
Whatever sacrifices were needed, it should happen. He is that great.
To lose him, would be disastrous

Be much easier to sell your house & help pay for him

We're watching clubs starting to get hit by fines and points deductions because they're not living within our means and people want us to spend half a mil on El Mizouni? As I've said before, everyone wants football clubs to be sustainable and ensuring a fair playing field until it comes to their own club making a big signing then it all goes out the window.

half a million was the max. remember. Probably £350,000 would do it
Whether we go for him or not speaks volumes about where we are and want to be as a club.
I'd be disappointed if he went to another L1 club. £350k (or thereabouts) is a lot of money to you or me but to a club with top-end-of-L1 ambitions it isn't a fortune. If we ever get to the promised land of the Championship, it's chump change.
If we don't go for it because he's too expensive it tells me that mid-level L1 is about where the director's see us, and unless we turn up the next Ollie Watkins this is where we're going to stay.
Or he prefers to go to a bigger club for more money. Why are people acting like we are the only party involved in this that have any say over what happens?

They're not. It's just so obvious that L1 clubs can't compete with clubs in higher leagues with much more money it doesn't need stating.

Judaism says those involved are threatened with capital punishment.
Christianity isn't to keen either.
Evidence or just scurrilous claptrap?
Among the sexual perversions proscribed as criminal offenses in the moral code of the Torah are homosexual relations between males (Lev. 18:22). Both offending parties are threatened with capital punishment (Lev. 20:13)

So,that's the best you can do - dragging out ‘old testament’ style stuff?
To equate Judaism’s disdain with homosexuality to the downright persecution and killing propagated by islamic states is preposterous.
Try again.
I quoted the Torah
You brought up the Old testament
Justifying what I stared earlier.
Not held in high regard by Judaism or Christianity.
Not Just Islam .

It's because they are half wits or just silly WUMs .
Ipswich don’t need the money, so the only reason they are interested in selling the player this month is because his contract expires at the end of the campaign. But he is a talented player and they might want to extend his contract and then looking to get El Mizouni a part of their first team instead of selling him for probably what will be a low transfer fee. I think (hope) we might have a chance to keep him.

The first bit is spot on. The second, I’m afraid, is wishful thinking. They’re building for the Premiership, and don’t see him as a prospect for that level. Not my words: those of Richie Wellens.
Don't they have an option to extend his contract if they wish at the end of this season?
I could see them taking him into their squad next season if they don't get promoted to the Premier Leaugue this.... in which case leaving him here for now works for them???

It's possible, but it's certainly not their intention or their plan. They've clearly decided to cash in now, so long as someone meets their valuation. Of course, if no-one does then he's on loan here for the rest of the season.
LSN points out that Idris himself will have a say in his destiny. But presumably any contract offered now by the likes of Bolton etc will be at a higher wage and for a longer term than the one he's currently on. And even Barnsley and Oxford can offer the prospect of Championship football before we can.
To sum up: I'm not optimistic, but football is a crazy game and you never know what might happen. Teague could decide he wants some more adulation and make it his personal mission to be associated with getting El-Miz in the building.

And what about what Idris wants? Why should he be rushed into joining a club now? Whats in it for him?
Probably a wage increase, longer contract, status and safety, currently he is one bad injury away from being unemployed in the summer and beyond
He is probably on shirt buttons too considering when he signed a contract with Ipswich he was young, since then he had three loans Grimsby he got injured, Cambridge in the second spell he didn't really play, it's only here that he has lit it up
Right now in theory could easily be the biggest move of his career both money and career wise, if he joins a Bolton/Portsmouth and fails he will be back down to Orient level/wages or lower
