Had a work colleague do this recently and as everything seemed fine with him we could never understand what drove him to this.
Me neither, my kids & Missus watch it, I usually head off to the spare room & watch whatever's on Sky Sports or Gold.
I did used to sit & watch her on Strictly though. She was a talented dancer, a lovely cheeky personality & I remember a raucous laugh. She seemed like the sort of girl you would like to have a laugh & drink with.
Horrible to think she felt she had no one to turn to
& she would take her own life 😢
Exactly! You've nailed it. 100% spot on.

Shame that she topped herself but we all need to remember that she slammed a table lamp on the head of her sleeping boyfriend. She could have killed him. She was charged with common assault but it could easily have been grievous bodily harm or attempted murder.

Heard the woman who replaced her on Love Island say that we should be kind to people. Dont think Flack was very kind to her boyfriend. She was obviously a troubled woman.

Can honestly say that I’d never heard of her until her arrest & prosecution exploded onto the news a few months back. Am reading today in the local Norfolk news here, that while born in London she grew up in Norfolk near Watton, so there has been a bit of a feature on her schooldays.

No one is above the law, and if she had a case to answer then she had to answer it. As a celebrity, any news like that is bound to attract media attention. There are upsides of being a celeb but there are downsides too, one has to take the rough with the smooth if that is the life one chooses.

But above everything it’s just a sad and tragic case where there are no winners, only losers. RIP.

There are millions of people who don't have the media intrude into there lives, that is until something happens outside their control that makes them target number one for these peolple. Then they get the full treatment that ruins their lives and destroys their standing in the community. Tabloid journalists, and I use the term loosly, are seriously driven almost to the point of dementia. There is a very small step between them and Care in the Community.

I hope that nobody on here has to suffer this, I would not wish it on anyone.

Funny how the paparazzi were always in prime position when she had a break up, a row, a holiday etc. Journalists all had access to info from ‘a source’ 🙄. Her ‘fans’ who now blame the media for her death, all clicked on the articles. If the articles get no views, they stop getting written. It’s not just the scumbag journalists that are to blame here, this is the very worst in what this new celebrity culture has to offer. Mentally unstable people not getting the help they need and being allowed to by chewed up and spat out.

It’s sad that a young woman has taken her own life, but what he was accused of doing is disgusting.

Well it’s the old question innit - we get the media we deserve, but is that because the readers want it and the media provides it, or did the media provide it and the readers have become conditioned to it?

I’ve never, ever bought a Sunday tabloid newspaper, and for the life of me I can’t understand why anyone would.

I’d love to see the comparison between revenue that physical copies sell and the revenue ads on the articles about these ‘celebrities’ make.

If the public want to watch braindead tv about a load of attractive people without a brain cell between them, f*** around in a villa in the balerics then they’re going to get the media that goes along with it.

Don’t shout mental health matters after feeding the beast.

This morning on social media ‘Be kind, everyone’.

Tonight on social media ‘Can’t wait to see vacuous nobody A argue with rival vacuous nobody B about vacuous nobody C they both want to rut with.’

Sky News wrote:An ambulance was called to Caroline Flack's home the day before she took her own life.

It is understood paramedics attended Flack's flat in east London at 10.30pm on Valentine's Day.

A London Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called shortly after 22:30 on 14 February to a residential property on Northwold Road, N16.

"Crews attended and, following a clinical assessment, the person was not taken to hospital. Due to patient confidentiality we cannot comment further."
Anybody who has tried in vain to get help for someone with a mental health problem will be familiar with this.

Passing the newsagent today I saw the front page of the Sun, which basically said that the CPS knew that she’d previously self-harmed, so why did they prosecute her?

To which I’d say, because she committed an offence, I guess? I don’t think you can rely on health issues to avoid prosecution. Some years back I was being treated for depression and anxiety; when I committed an offence it was tough sh*t, I ended up in court and being sentenced.
I believe Flack had previous form for assaulting partners, so I guess she feared that this time she would go down for it. It’s all very sad.
Mind you, that hasn’t stopped the Sun from trying to deflect the blame on the CPS now, has it?
