Yeh, it just hasn't happened for him. Mourinho thought he was going to be the dogs bollocks. I don't think he's ever going to be a consistent goal scorer, I think he could have a bit of a renaissance as a target man/link forward just like Lisbie did.

Presumably the midfielder we're close to signing is out of contract or is about to have his contract paid off? As there's no way we've shipped out two in that position without having someone 100% lined up.

Keeper signing is an odd one, unless Baxter's injury is worse than originally feared. Wellens really must not rate Cahill, as we'll be carrying his wage for rest of the season.

We definitely needed another forward and can't imagine Scarlett has come cheap, so it's a bit of a statement signing, even if he's never really done much during his loan spells.
