Re: Tory Watch
Are you and Greyhound the same person then? "Nothing will change" is subjective anyway, so let's put some parameters into the mix. So if nothing changes then the Retail Price Index will be no worse than it is now? The inflation rate will be the same? Unemployment figures will be the same? There will be no shortages of fuel? No shortages of medicine? No unnecessary deaths caused by those medicine shortages? No shortage of staff in the NHS and care services? Etc, et-bloody-cetera.....RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2019 6:41 pm

It's hard for me to know how to gauge the social impact on the Country but I can hardly see it being for the good. So, let's compare notes in 12 months time - or say, 12 months after we leave with a No Deal (if we do.........).

You haven’t commented on the Scottish judges finding prorogation illegal and saying that the smirking idiot misled the Queen.greyhound wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2019 8:20 pmno we are not the same person we both think that we will not fall into resection andBoniO wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2019 7:02 pmAre you and Greyhound the same person then? Re: Tory Watch
The polls are all over the place today. In the remoaner Observer, the Tories have a 12 point lead over Labour (37/25) with the Libs on 16. In the no deal brexshit Express, it’s only 1 point (28/27) with the Libs on 20. Farage gets 13 on both.
Strange how both papers use polling firms that, generally speaking, return figures their readership wont be happy with.

Standby for a Lab Dem coalition then. It is obvious that neither main party commands enough support for a majority.slacker wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2019 8:49 am The polls are all over the place today. I see Boris has been conflicted again. Giving public money to a lady friend when he was Mayor of London and visiting her flat at odd hours of the night.

Cash for 'access', eh?
Nothing surprises me about this. He's ripping the piss out of everyone, and his fanboys will keep on defending him cos he's promised to deliver their Brexit, so everything he does is just fine and dandy. Mugs.

Re: Tory Watch
"I still predict a GE will return a minority Tory (-led?) government."
As the Lib dems look to be on course to taking a large number of seats I cannot see how that could happen, they are never going to work with the Tories again and Labour certainly wont That just leaves the DUP and a couple of them may not get re-elected. The damage caused to the Tories by the Brexit party splitting the leave vote will be considerable, they are unlikely to win seats but will wipe out a lot Tory majorities.

But who with? They are never going to work with the Tories again and they have ruled out Labour while Corbyn is leader, the SNP would be more obvious but are they going to get enough seats to make the difference?

Re: Tory Watch
Cracking stuff from the shameless careerist that is Liz Truss. In brief, we're leaving on the 31st with or without a deal but doesn't know how that'll work. And if she did, she wouldn't tell anyone anyway.
And yet brexiters are still happy for idiots like this to be somewhere near power.

Re: Tory Watch
Ok - are you saying you're not happy with Liz Truss and other well documented idiots such as Nicky Morgan / Matt Hancock who form part of cabinet. If so, why? They're promising to deliver Brexit...... even though they can't tell you how.
