Since we're being all nostalgic - in the very first iteration of the board that I ever came across, and I lurked for some time before plunging in, there was a character called, I think, Looney, or Lord Looney - who I think outed himself as a rather rude alter Ego of someone else (unless I've just dreamed that?)

Is my memory playing tricks, or was this a real thing (and is the person still around, some -what? - 25 years later ?

I'm going to try and find the very stern email I got from Buona giornate when I accidentally broke one of the message boards for a couple of days by posting a response to that BNP bloke that was about 10gb of smilies. Happy days.

I've just remembered his name was Halifax. Also remembered feeling not quite so smart and sure of some of the points i'd set him right on when sharing a train carriage with him and some of his companions back from somewhere (Notts County maybe?) Rather decent of him not to even threaten me with a pasting in hindsight.
