The Boardin' Years - Coming Soon.

Having recently retired and with time and creativity in abundance I have been looking around for a new project because gardening and organising for revolution at the weekly SSP branch meetings only occupies me for so long.

I have decided to write a satirical, and often laugh out loud, history of the Message Board in an attempt to give some meaning to Boarders lives. The working title will be "The Boardin" Years" and will be dedicated to recently passed and often witty Boarder, Bluecap.

If anyone has anything in particular they suspect should be included then please feel free to add suggestions below and we can perhaps workshop it.

Should it be successfull and be picked up for a Netflix Sit Com then the theme tune will probably be SLFs "Wasted Life" or possibly The Eagles "Wasted Time" but I suspect that will be a decision made by an anonymous Netflix Vice President.

So stay tuned. Chapter 1 is half written and due to hit the net soon.

Some excellent suggestions that I suspect will involve a lot of time consuming historical research and that would cut into creative time so I trust you won't mind if I base the history loosely on those incidents and just make it up. As is the fashion these days.

My chooks against the fox and next doors annoying little sh*t faced schnauzers was 15 or 16 years ago. But I still miss them chooks.

There could be a running comedic motif in each episode. Just like in Only Fools & Horses, where in every episode Trigger said the joke about his broom, the second prize in a prize draw could be revealed to much hilarity that never gets old.
