Watched it and it was OK. Redmayne isn't a very good baddie.Dunners wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2024 12:53 pm New series of Day of the Jackal is, to my surprise, good. It doesn't try to recreate the film, but is a short series influenced by the book. I've watched three of the five episodes, so hopefully it doesn't tank in the final two, but so far this one is recommended.

But he's a rather good 'Edward Fox' . Many of the little mannerisms and looks are nods to the original film.Max B Gold wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2024 11:40 amWatched it and it was OK. I thought the Kneecap film on Amazon Prime was pretty funny if not quite worthy of some of the lavish praisenits received.

I just finished the 1st series of Wolf Hall and I really enjoyed it. Mark Rylance is bloody brilliant in everything he does, and this is no exception.
Started 2nd Series last night and it seems to be just as good (and the substitutions at half time seem to be working out well)

He is. I'm going to see him in Juno and The Paycock this weekend.Max B Gold wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2024 3:44 pmS2 is excellent. Nice one. This was a play we studied for English O Grade wouldn't mind seeing it, but looks like it ends on 23 Nov.

It does, but he does a lot of plays like this in the West End. I've seen him several times now in the last few years.
