Fans booing their own players

Think I'm more likely to boo at home than away tbh. I do recall some decent booooos after we got pumped 5-0 at Doncaster once in the early 00s. Only reason most people stayed til the end.

And it's all part and parcel of supporting a team that plays in a League where matches aren't supposed to have pre-arranged outcomes. I don't recall writing to Hearn and asking him to refund my train fare and match ticket.

For a few seasons when I sat with Dunnem in the North Stand, if Orient were putting in a stinker we’d have to find our enjoyment spotting other fans having a meltdown and losing the plot. Naturally, we’d peer over to the West Stand if see if things were going OFF & what antics the little drummer boy was up to for peak chuckles. Happy days.

I think you are splitting hairs here. The question is, should fans / supporters / customers have the right to boo what is in front of them if they don’t like it - the answer is a clear ‘Yes’.

A supporter is someone that pays to watch their team as I have done for over 60 years, as a supporter who pays to see my team I have the right to cheer or boo my team at anytime during the game to express my satisfaction or dissatisfaction with how they are playing.Nobody will ever change my mind on that.

I think he genuinely believed that this was a key factor behind Arsenal slotting home their fifth goal against us.

On the subject of booing it was a very pleasurable experience to join in with the Sevco fans booing their team off at HT at the LC semi a few weeks back.

However, having being booed by the whole stadium they came back to beat us 2-1. There's a lesson there for all of us. I think.
