This. But if we do start with Sweeney, I'm cool with that too.Mistadobalina wrote: ↑Fri Jul 19, 2024 10:28 am
The core of the team is good, we really only need a keeper and a full back to have a full strength starting 11.
It's now about making sure we have adequate competition/cover.

Agreed, just look at Carlisle in January and what little impact it had on them.Mistadobalina wrote: ↑Fri Jul 19, 2024 10:28 amThis is the worst take. Signing loads of players is generally a sign of weakness, not strength. Would've preferred us to get players in earlier for the purpose of getting them integrated into the squad, but we've generally improved our squad every summer under the current set up, so something is obviously working. January we seem to struggle with a little more.Qin wrote: ↑Thu Jul 18, 2024 6:17 pm Whoever we end up bringing here, one thing's seems obvious.... The club is really cr@p at bringing players here.
No idea why, but other clubs have no trouble at all
Burton have managed to bring in 16 players so far, Rotherham 11 that I know of.
Most transfer windows seem difficult for us too. (Remember January 22- Ray, Nouble etc)
The core of the team is good, we really only need a keeper and a full back to have a full strength starting 11.
