Are you an Orient fan or one of these chaps that just come on here for a row?
He’s been on here before under different names, guess who

Whoever we end up bringing here, one thing's seems obvious.... The club is really cr@p at bringing players here.

No idea why, but other clubs have no trouble at all

Burton have managed to bring in 16 players so far, Rotherham 11 that I know of.

Most transfer windows seem difficult for us too. (Remember January 22- Ray, Nouble etc)

Totally agree, there clearly is a major problem historically with Martin Ling and the so called transfer committee maybe it’s time for heads to roll.

I was under the impression that RW said the reason we had a bad start last season was that the players brought in didn’t have a full pre season. So no change there then.

Maybe try and keep up. There has been no transfer committee for 2 seasons, it’s down to Wellens to identify players and Ling sorts out the contracts. I don’t see Wellens getting upset about lack of signings he was gushing about getting the lad in from Everton, there are two more done according to RW just need completing. We could have the squad more or less complete by the end of the Spain trip.

House prices in both Boston & Rotherham must be cheaper than London

The idea that physical strength precludes you from getting injured is one of the most nonsensical things I've seen on here.

https://www.dssportstherapy.co.uk/blog/ ... -of-injury I'm glad you don't work with Keton, click the menu box, click blog & scrool to strength prevents injury, why else would Happe,Clay,Graham & Archibald spend months in a gym building muscle strength back. Dan Agyei came back from injury to early first time round & was out again end of January

So you'd argue players like Adama Traore and Michail Antonio are not physically strong?

It would be beneficial if these next two signings could be completed before the clubs trip to Spain . Spending time together in Spain would help our new players with settling down into the squad .

Rotherham- bigger budget, signed players we can't afford.

Burton- 16 players brought in that most are young and unproven. Only see 3 established players there.

I'm sure that's the plan and if we got another one or two next week we can fly them out to the training camp. Not sure if it'd relevant but Ling went down with Covid on Monday but it shouldn't delay things, I'm sure there are other people who can sign off on the transfer forms. But it might mean tea instead of Coffee.

You are totally missing the point I was making.

I used the examples of Rotherham & Burton, simply as examples that other teams don't find it difficult to bring in players like we appear to do.

Who the players are is irrelevant, it's just the process of actually bringing new players in the building that I mentioned those two clubs.

Regardless of whether they're experienced players or not - I have no idea, but some above say they're not - anyone thinking Burton signing SIXTEEN players in one window, basically creating a whole squad from scratch, is evidence of something we should aspire to be more like is absolutely mental. Have a word with yourselves.

You don’t have to explain yourself he is fixated with a previous boarder so he randomly accuses people of being said boarder, pretty sad really

Ask any defender who went up against Agyei last season if he’s physical or not. I know what their answer will be.
There is no “leading the line” the manager tells the team how he wants them to play, even the captain cannot change the way the team plays, he’s only there to encourage them and as a focal point for the officials.
Er, whaaat?
I guess you’d struggle with that, but can’t make it more it any more simple for you 🙂 suck it up 😂😂

This is the worst take. Signing loads of players is generally a sign of weakness, not strength. Would've preferred us to get players in earlier for the purpose of getting them integrated into the squad, but we've generally improved our squad every summer under the current set up, so something is obviously working. January we seem to struggle with a little more.

The core of the team is good, we really only need a keeper and a full back to have a full strength starting 11.
