Not so sure, other clubs around us will strengthen and we're only an Agyei injury setback away from having no striker options on the bench

We scored 2 with Agyei on the bench, we have conceded 3 yet again.

To be honest I still cannot understand why anyone would get so involved with a business with hardly any fixed assets unless it is to mitigate business gains from another source. Had KT gone into the Dragons Den with a proposal to buy the club (can just picture him and Travis in full kit playing headers with each other as they entered the den) and the dirty looks by Peter Jones as they tell him they have been offered a great deal by Barry HearnJoe315 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 23, 2023 6:14 pmOur directors are averagely rich in terms ofComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Sat Dec 23, 2023 6:03 pm I actually think that if we sign a winger and a striker, it will keep us up this season, and that's the main aim, but, the two players MUST be quality.... No cheapies, from league 2 clubs, if they are really decent players, they'll keep us up.
I realise they won't come cheap, but if you want to own a football club in 2023, then you have to be very rich, and our directors are.
In the summer we can add to the squad, and gradually get better, but for now it's about still being in this league after the final game
football club owners. If you compare them to
Kroenke or The sultans & Sheikhs or the Fenway
group , they are practically paupers.

Owning a club is though and FFP is a joke, we seem to be one of the few who take it seriously

Re: YEAH BUT WE JUST NEED A WINGER & A STRIKER
Is that actually based on anything or is it a generic 'the board don't spend enough' complaint? Every season under the current ownership we have lost between £1-2m. Are you really familiar enough with the finances of every other club at this level to say we're one of the outliers in being restrained?
Wage to turnover ratio is what financial sustainability rules looks at in league 1 and 2, Deloitte published a report on this that suggested that vast majority of clubs are complying so 'taking it seriously'. But owners are able to subsidise as much as they want as long as it's via cash injections or equity, not loans.

Well Paul McCallum is scoring more than a goal a game at Eastleigh this season and Jordan Maguire-Drew is averaging a goal a game at Barnet too
