You can sign a pre contract agreement that ties you to your new club but he can't play until January.

This is the thing to keep in mind when certain elements of the fan base think we'll "be fine" leaving the squad as-is. We need those two attacking players already mentioned to be quality plus any changes that come about as a result of players heading out the other direction
