You are honestly the biggest numpty on here - and that’s saying something

You’ve got me there. Can’t wait to see the explanation because it comes across as you having a go at people stopping the game to try to save a dying man.

RTW and I disagree on several things and rub each other the wrong way, but we can agree on this; Neptune’s Spear, you are by far the biggest numpty on this board.

What I like best about the numptiness of NS’s post is that it implies that had the manager stayed the same, the replayed match would have obviously panned out the same way, with the same result.

It’s not favouritism, it’s just that Caca gets trigger happy when he’s criticised. Not worth getting annoyed about.

You won’t find many on here who think that calling Neptune’s Spear a “numpty” is anything other than admirably restrained

After reading through this thread I didn't realise Mark Kennedy had been sacked at Lincoln . It's a pity because I thought he was a decent manager . It just seems to me that clubs are too trigger happy these days .I hasten to add that thankfully our club isn't one of them apart from the Beelzebub era when we seemed to have a new manager every ten minutes .

I mean, our current owners got rid of someone after 6 games.

That was an exception. It sounded like everything was wrong with that particular appointment

The Euro 2024 qualifier between Belgium and Sweden declared abandoned at half-time will not be replayed, with a 1-1 result confirmed as final :~.

Incredibly different circumstances, mad to try and draw any parallel.

I think I’m right in thinking that the result of that game - whether a draw or a win for either team - would have no bearing whatsoever on whether any team in the group qualified for the finals or not. There’s nothing to be gained from replaying that fixture aside from fastidious admin.

A league game mid season is totally different

Correct. Plus the added logistics of everyone traveling from Sweden to Belgium...when? During another international window that's already booked up? And, absolutely awful as the events were during our game, I find it slightly distasteful to draw comparisons with a game that was halted because of a terrorist murdering two fans, critically injuring a third and who, at the time the game was stopped, was still on the loose and subject to a massive manhunt.

We didn`t want it to be replayed, but Barnsley did. The EFL listened to Barnsley.

If everything had happened in reverse I would like to think we would just have let the game go . There was only about 6 minutes left of normal time and sadly somebody had lost their life . If there is one thing our club has that's beyond question its integrity .
