You’ve got me there. Can’t wait to see the explanation because it comes across as you having a go at people stopping the game to try to save a dying man.Neptune's Spear wrote: ↑Thu Oct 19, 2023 8:48 amI'm actually taking the P out of you but youre too thick to see itRich Tea Wellin wrote: ↑Thu Oct 19, 2023 8:44 amYou are honestly the biggest numpty on here - and that’s saying somethingNeptune's Spear wrote: ↑Thu Oct 19, 2023 8:04 am The Lincoln manager - Mark Kennedy has just been sacked, so when we play them again in a couple of weeks it'll probably be a different result, however I just cant thank those wonderful, amazing, beautiful kind, saint like people enough for running on the pitch and getting the game abandoned

RTW and I disagree on several things and rub each other the wrong way, but we can agree on this; Neptune’s Spear, you are by far the biggest numpty on this board.
Re: OFFICIAL: Lincoln game to be replayed
What I like best about the numptiness of NS’s post is that it implies that had the manager stayed the same, the replayed match would have obviously panned out the same way, with the same result.
Amazing

It’s not favouritism, it’s just that Caca gets trigger happy when he’s criticised. Not worth getting annoyed about.
You won’t find many on here who think that calling Neptune’s Spear a “numpty” is anything other than admirably restrained

Re: OFFICIAL: Lincoln game to be replayed
After reading through this thread I didn't realise Mark Kennedy had been sacked at Lincoln . It's a pity because I thought he was a decent manager . It just seems to me that clubs are too trigger happy these days .I hasten to add that thankfully our club isn't one of them apart from the Beelzebub era when we seemed to have a new manager every ten minutes .

I mean, our current owners got rid of someone after 6 games.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 19, 2023 11:01 am After reading through this thread I didn't realise Mark Kennedy had been sacked at Lincoln . That was an exception. It sounded like everything was wrong with that particular appointmentProposition Joe wrote: ↑Thu Oct 19, 2023 11:41 amI mean, our current owners got rid of someone after 6 games.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 19, 2023 11:01 am After reading through this thread I didn't realise Mark Kennedy had been sacked at Lincoln . Re: OFFICIAL: Lincoln game to be replayed
Incredibly different circumstances, mad to try and draw any parallel.
Re: OFFICIAL: Lincoln game to be replayed
I think I’m right in thinking that the result of that game - whether a draw or a win for either team - would have no bearing whatsoever on whether any team in the group qualified for the finals or not. There’s nothing to be gained from replaying that fixture aside from fastidious admin.

Re: OFFICIAL: Lincoln game to be replayed
Correct. Plus the added logistics of everyone traveling from Sweden to Belgium...when? During another international window that's already booked up? And, absolutely awful as the events were during our game, I find it slightly distasteful to draw comparisons with a game that was halted because of a terrorist murdering two fans, critically injuring a third and who, at the time the game was stopped, was still on the loose and subject to a massive manhunt.CEB wrote: ↑Thu Oct 19, 2023 4:57 pm I think I’m right in thinking that the result of that game - whether a draw or a win for either team - would have no bearing whatsoever on whether any team in the group qualified for the finals or not. Re: OFFICIAL: Lincoln game to be replayed
If everything had happened in reverse I would like to think we would just have let the game go . There was only about 6 minutes left of normal time and sadly somebody had lost their life . If there is one thing our club has that's beyond question its integrity .aylesburyos wrote: ↑Fri Oct 20, 2023 8:02 pmRichie has confirmed Lincoln wanted it replayed. We did not
