Re: Wordle

I spent a diverting half an hour or so looking into how people are coding wordle bots. Lots have got down to an average of 3.41, I haven't been able to find/understand whether someone has actually proved that this is the optimal strategy but I would think its close.
I spent another 10 minutes or so going through tuffers last 100 scores posted on here. Amazingly, despite occasionally using what us mere mortals would consider a slightly less than optimal strategy of using starting words with repeated letters he has managed an average of 3.23.

Re: Wordle
Why ?
How do you know what i have the ability to do ,
Isnt something that is part of a Disorder ?
My Skin condition means i dont have
The STS Enzyme
Something which is also missing for people
Afflicted with autism .
Ive been on the autism spectrum medically since my 1st year or 2 of life due to my skin condition
Ive worked hard to deal with it ..
Mathematics & problem solving & logic are particular skills Ive been blessed with .
Im lacking in many other things just to make
It crystal clear to you
Enough of a reason to suggest a " Personal attack " ?

Random words using more of
The commonly used letters .
10 most commonly used letters link below

If you use methodology in mathematics
Most things can show some form of pattern .
Once youve realised that , you can quickly
Decipher a simplistic plan .
Its not so much Intelligence as
Using the knowledge you have at the right time .

The link above explains it a little better ,
Or you simply follow the old saying

Re: Wordle
I'm satisfied you're using a less than optimal strategy but getting better results than would be expected from using an optimal strategy. As cheating can be discounted this can only be explained by luck.
To look at just how lucky you are I looked at the number of green hits from your first guess for yourvlast 50 posts. Statistically the best word for getting a green on the first guess (obviously different from the best word to win in the least guesses) is sooey, which gets .0.546 greens on average. Your guesses are getting an astounding return of 0.7 greens on your first guess. For comparison StillSpike is getting bang on 0.5.
It's on the second guess you really come into your own though, a stonking average of 2.32 greens, making StillSpike look frankly dim with his 1.52 average.
I'm afraid it's your endgame that's actually letting you down a bit from those incredible starts.
I'm afraid I don't know the maths and can't be arsed to find out how to quantify just how lucky you are but to do so much better than expected on the number of hits on the first guess and your overall average at the same time, when the maths would suggest two different strategies would be needed, is I think quite remarkable.

In his defence, it could be he doesn't post the higher scores? That may explain his freakishly low average?

Re: Wordle
Same, I follow usually two different routes after first word depending on which vowels get taken out by the first guess then iterate from there

Last weekend 1 of the answers was
" Wedge " used during the Open golf championship
So the words arent random .
Todays wordle word is something that
occurs during the summer .
Wordle 399 3/6
Today My 1st guess was what i was doing the second i lit my 1st roll up ( hand made cigarette) of the day .
Using the 2 letters i thought about what i am going to cook today , shepherds pie .The ingredients of
that gave me my 3rd letter with 3 correct positions
The solution is something that you get more of in
A hot place & they resemble mosquitos but arent .
& as i had letter 1 2 & 5 it was very easy
No logic no thought process
Just random words that contain some of
the 10 most used Letters in the English
Language.
As for Lucky
Well I am Irish ☘ .
The mark of real inteligence is to simplify ,
As simplicity is very often perfection .
Nature only ever does enough it doesnt waste or
over complicate stuff ,
Look at how humans can be devastated by little spike proteins in disease or bacteria. .
S003y is just an over complication !
