That's true enough . The thin blue line has never been thinner. Sorry for your loss BigRon. I hope you get those rings back . My mum lost her wedding ring a few years ago and was distraught . It's not only the value of the rings but the sentimentality which could be priceless.Still wrong wrote: โWed Jul 14, 2021 9:41 pmPrestige Worldwide wrote: โWed Jul 14, 2021 7:50 pm Perhaps avoid touching the drawer in case it needs to be dusted for prints.
Where have you been for the last 20 years?
The police are not going to make themselves busy over a alleged minor theft.

Blimey they turned up? I am amazed.
Mind you if they found their fingerprints on a draw it will prove nothing.
It just means they touched the draw, no evidence of theft.
Put everything in a safe place next time.
Do not trust anyone you donโt know very well.
I had a tradesman in for two days this week, I hid everything of value away.

Although being called an idiot is a compliment coming from you, considering your hit rate on things that you actually get right

Few weeks ago friend mine had a house clearance firm clean out her momโs house before sale and deliver some furniture to her own home. Used firm before, Polish. On this occasion some Romanians were employed by them. When her back was turned she had a jewellery box and 30k Cartier watch nicked. Discovered few days later. We complained to the Polish boss who got the watch back within 24 hours but the rest had been sold on.

Re: Theiving Bastards
Final update , the police phoned today and as expected have no forensic evidence to go on , they will no longer persue the case as nothing can be proved . They also advised me not to persue it personally with the people involved as this could have repercussions against me ( correct still wrong ) , just have to put it down as a loss โน

Sorry to hear how this has finished Ron. Hope you and your Wife are okay. Get her to get you some big bottles of Morretti to forget it. Ron, get the local press involved. Your Council won't like the negative publicity.

Treat it as a lesson learned and hide everything away when strangers enter your home in the future.
