Good point, I didn’t think about that. Imagine Biden with his finger on the nuclear button . Now that’s what I call bloody scary.
How on Earth can that be more scary than Trump having his finger on the button? Mind boggling.
Please do remind me. How many wars has trump started? How many countries has he invaded? How many times has he sent troops into foreign soil?

So would I trust him with his finger on the button. Yes I would cos he has not done anything against any other country. Unlike all previous presidents in the role.
You can obviously ask the same about Biden, only Biden hasn't displayed as many character defects, lied to and misled the American people, and generally acted like a playground bully who must get his own way. Trump has sanctioned and gloated over assassinations he approved though. You forgot that. Not done anything against any other Country? Hmmm.

Anyway, still waiting for your low-down on "The Cabal" - I'm sure it will be a riveting read!

I mean, Biden is a shitshow. An awful, awful choice. It really is picking the shiniest of two turds. Those links talk about Biden being terrible with victims of sexual crime and racist policy making. Which are correct and fair. He's terrible.

But, do you honestly think Donald Trump is someone with a squeaky clean (or even better!) record with racism and sexual misconduct?

Absolutely not and I’ve never said he’s not. I’ve said earlier in this thread that politics is ina bad way both there and here, I stand by that comment. Neither is good, what I have shown is trump has performed for the country on the economy and employment these are true and real. Would I vote for him, no, would I vote for Biden no. Neither is good enough.

It’s like the last election here, I could not vote for Corbyn or labour. I don’t agree with everything the Torres do and I wish they would do more to help everyone in society more. Hence why I said I’d sit that election out the first one since I voted for thatcher.

I do think the world is at a crucial point and covid has probably brought that to the fore more than anything else, I hope that a more just and fairer society can be built. Well I hope anyway.

Fair enough. Appreciate your response, I get it mostly.

RE: Trump and employment/economy, please see the graphs I posted up earlier in this thread to RedDwarf. Trump constantly bangs on about it but realistically it isn't him performing, it is him jumping on Obama's coattails. It's impossible to read what I've put above and think anything differently fairly.

P.S I didn't vote FOR any particular party, I voted specifically AGAINST the Tory party. Much as many Democrats will do in November. But equally don't blame anyone for doing as you did.

You don't think he deserves any credit for continuing a trend (until spring) and indeed surpassing all records?

Of course I do. But he and his supporters often present it as if it is all his doing and the trend is very clear and very obvious that Obama's administration made this trajectory possible. Many Trump fans use it as their main reason to support him and it's not as they think it is.

I don’t agree with putting troops on the streets, but they are there to protect us against all invaders foreign or domestic. If they tried that here in the uk there would be a revolt of that I’m sure, you can’t put the army against the people, that’s what happens in tinpot countries run by dictators and despots.

In the USA is complicated by the states powers verses the federal system, he did warn them get your house in order or I’ll deal with it. Whereas here the pm has full powers over everything.

After what seems months of bleating about 'mail-in-ballot' fraud and the biggest rigged election of all time we get this tweet from Trump:-

“Whether you call it Vote by Mail or Absentee Voting, in Florida the election system is Safe and Secure, Tried and True, Florida’s Voting system has been cleaned up we defeated Democrats attempts at change so in Florida I encourage all to request a Ballot & Vote by Mail! #MAGA”

If anyone else came out with this you could claim it was hypocritical, but you shake your head and think its just the way Donald's mind works. By the way the Democrats wanted to make the system fairer to all the poor and black floridians that Jeb Bush had disenfranchised to get his brother elected.

Probably employed some people to help him with his own voter fraud there, I'd suspect.

Facebook removes Trump post over false Covid-19 claim for first time

Video in which Trump wrongly said kids were ‘almost immune’ from illness also prompted Twitter to ban president’s re-election campaign account.

The US agency that provides funding for development projects abroad such as water supply systems, has suddenly been allowed to fund projects in the US itself. This was done by an executive order signed by the Presedent which was not publicised anywhere. Their first move was to give KODAK $765 million to move their business over to the manufacture of pharmaceutical ingredients. Those in the know made huge sums of money of course as the share price rocketed. It will be interesting to see who was involved in the trading.

I see that there has not been any reaction to Biden’s comments on the African American community. Funny that. I can just imagine the bile from our resident socialists if Trump had said it.

He is a racist pure and simple.

Not sure how many times I need to say it on here Thor before it finally sinks in but as a 'resident Socialist', I'm no admirer of Biden whatsoever.

The guy is a complete liability. To paraphrase George Galloway, the Democrats have sourced and put up the only candidate, across the entire adult population of the USA, who is actually worse than Trump.

Obviously, I am a Bernie Sanders admirer; even more so Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. I would bet my life that in 2024, this woman will be the firsf female President of the USA. Those four years cannot come soon enough.

Socialists here and in the US are in the majority very anti-Biden. He is absolutely rubbish and should no way be on the list. But, like in the UK, whenever a progressive candidate is put forward it gets binned off anyway because you all want someone more centrist, so this is what you get.

So shut up you Marxist. (I know you're not, its just fun to use as an insult with zero understanding of what it means so I get why you do it)

She'll only turn 35 a few weeks before that election. Do they need to be 35 when they are nominated or when they take office?

But, no chance. I'll take that bet right now, literally any amount you want. She's got no chance, sadly. She's deeply unpopular with many floating voters. My favourite US politician though, gutting.

She'll be 35 in October 2024; so will indeed be able to take office.

"She's got no chance"? I bet the USA said that about having a Black President.

Floating voters are there to be won over; and I'm not quite sure where you get that information from. She has clearly won over any floating voters in New York - twice.

Moreover, she has been recognised as a shining star of U.S. Politics; having made a considerable impact within such a short space of time.

Importantly, whilst she may not appeal to the rednecks and trigger-happy middle classes, she most certainly WILL appeal to a cross-section of demographics; such as Hispanic, Black, young voters AND WOMEN.

Let's keep the faith!
