Re: Would you take 65 points as a final total for next season POLL
A comfortable mid table position around 12th suits me fine. Won't complain if we are top 2 though

Re: Women's world cup thread
I thought England were a tad fortuitous this morning & were helped by the dreaded VAR. I thought Haiti were actually a good side & the young girl Dumornay was outstanding. All in all England take a lot from the 3pts & clean sheet. Women's football has certainly come a lot over the last 1...

Re: Just Stop Oil
My son is taking part in a social experiment and has to wear an orange Just Stop Oil t-shirt to gauge reaction.
So far, he's been spat on, punched, and had a bottle thrown at him.
I'm curious to see what happens when he goes out of the house.

How many legends have won 2 league titles for us ???
I can't think of any other than Dan Happe. For that they deserve legend status in playing a big part in getting us back to L1.

Carlisle at home. All the worldies we have scored this season, it took a double deflection to seal 3pts when others around us dropped points was huge.

Re: Saturday : The Trophy
So anyone on the pitch means trophy will be presented in dressing room. Yeah, as if. We've just won the first league title in my lifetime. Of course I'm going on the pitch. Hopefully get a selfie with the trophy too. You had the chance to be on the pitch last Saturday. Don't be such a selfish D1ck.

Brings a tear to my eye listening to that.
Like when we were relegated, you can sense the emotion in Dulcet Dave's voice. A good commentator & a true O.

Re: Ratings.
Singling out Turns for the goal is ridiculous, he's probably the one defender who does his job properly there by seeing the man out wide. Beckles comes and fails to get the ball in our half, then waits way too long to cut off the striker once it's in the box. Mizouni has a complete brain fart and d...

I enjoyed that. Good to know the club is in good hands at team level & in the boardroom & that everyone is pulling in the same direction. There will still be boarders on here telLING us different.

Re: 24 hour coverage
I find it quite revealing, that this place is the only place I have seen a total lack of respect for our deceased Monarch. I have seen a little bit of whingeing elsewhere, about having to search out favourite TV programmes. But seems some on here are too thick to use BBC I Player & the various ...

Re: Queens death: The poll
I voted for 'could not care less' which is not strictly true. I appreciate that its an historical moment, and that someone has died, who has a family. But, aside from me being a republican, she was 96 years old, led a better life than any of us could imagine, travelled far and wide, met hundreds of...

Re: Queens death: The poll
I care a lot but I'm somewhere in between life going on & watching the news a bit. Not fussed about no football today, gives us time to reflect & appreciate what we have in our lives, so I babysat my Grandson while the rest of the clan headed off into London. He's a little sod but I love wat...

The major blot on his copy book has been his two most recent January windows. Both appalling, particularly the most recent. & what about the one in between last summer? Is he to be praised for bringing in James, Wood, Beckles, Pratley, Smith, Smyth, Drinan & Archibald ? Or do we just slate ...

He’s not been properly firing yet but still provided several assists. Drinnan on the right and Smyth on the left for Saturday please. Are you serious? Drinnan hasn't played a game for 4 months, and isn't properly fit. There are far better options than Drinnan ffs Can't believe it but I'm agreeing w...

Re: Well done to the board of directors & investors
We've signed some kids on loan guys. Correction . We've signed some very good and exciting kids on loan . Do you honestly know these 2 new kids? I’ve got no idea about either of them. We are definitely a much more inexperienced first team squad than we’re used to. Signing so many untried youngsters...

Re: Stephen Duke McKenna Signs
My understanding is that RW identifies the target signings and then, with authority from NT etc, it’s Ling who negotiates the deal with the other club and player. Ling certainly deserves some credit but unfortunately he’s not popular with many on this board. That's certainly my understanding but as...

Who remembers the dark days
Of 2 weeks ago when we could only draw a pre season friendly with Dagenham?
The ridiculous meltdown that followed by some was laughable & embarrassing. I'm just pleased that the club have shot down that negativity in the first 2 league games.
No league has ever been won in July or August.

Good striker, wouldn't have him back though.
You won't find a better quartet than Smith, Smyth, Drinan & Sotiriou next season.
