Re: The trans debate

The evil, abhorrent JK Rowling (who personally founded and funds the only female only rape crisis centre in Edinburgh) has had a say.
Warning - when reading you might think “hmmm, she’s not wrong is she?”

Roz Adams won her case against Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre. You know, the rape crisis centre run by a man with no gender recognition certificate. I’d warn you to only read this if you’re ok with the fact that you’ll be a full TERF by the end (or in complete denial) https://x.com/lucyhunterb/status/...

That’s not the question though, if we’re talking relative terms.
The better question would be at what point in history was there a bigger gap in standards of living between the richest and poorest?

It’s not irrelevant, because as Dunners says, it’s accurate. So I’m asking what your position will be once it comes out as accurate: you can choose to see it as hypothetical if you like.

I see the Tory client journalists have been fed their daily non factual Labour scaremongering story. Please link me to where they’ve denied the story that contains quotes from the shadow minister who would be responsible? I’ll wait There is no story. Re: VAR could be scrapped.

A “daylight” rule still has a tiny margin between “daylight” and “not daylight”.
The issue with the offside rule isn’t where the line is, it’s that the law no longer reflects the spirit of why it exists

Re: VAR could be scrapped.

The biggest problem with VAR isn’t even when it gets things wrong, IMO. The issue is that it contributes significantly and unduly to the momentum of a match. Example - a team scores a goal. There’s a few moments of celebration, the team that conceded and the fans adjust to being a goal down… and the...

I put a neutral overlay on the background, the first thing that becomes clear is that the clothing itself actually *is* part of the background - you can see that there’s lower contrast and definition than you’d expect, even when it isn’t sitting against a background of the same colour. That being th...
