Re: Matchday (evening) and exiles thread vs Rotherham 04/03/25
Well... I don't know what can be done about it but conceding goals from corners is a bit of an issue. Scoring from a corner is another. Orient's midfield play and passing is very good but all the hard work is undone by poor finishing. Against Rotherham Agei was brilliant but nobody could turn in one...

Re: Investment news
Thanks chaps,
Much as I love Brissie and the memories it holds for me I can see we need to move.
Shame, as I was born in Clapton and dad used to go to Millfields dog racing track to watch the O's.
But....points taken.... and hopefully a few more this season. Up the O's

Re: Investment news
What I fail to understand is this;- Why would Orient want a new ground built costing billions? Brisbane Rd is well situated for the Central line,,bus routes and overground trains and in the heart of the community. Surely if big money has to be spent to increase capacity, we should be looking at othe...

Re: Spurs watch
Let us not forget how much help Spurs have given to Orient over the years, unlike Arsenal who have done f**ck all, despite being near neighbours.
Financial help with the pitch upgrade, and very decent loans eg. Kane and now Keely and Donly.
Do not bite the hand that feeds you.

And yes, I was at Oxford for that game but with Oxford mates so had to keep quiet in the home end or get my head kicked in. Good result.

Re: Top 5 Os memories
Well, all you young people, you wouldn't remember 63 when Orient beat Man U and Liverpool at Brissie.
\Mostly all standing and 30,000 in the ground. Nigel, bless him, was probably there too on the North terrace like me.
Great team captained by Stan Charlton.
Ok grandad....shut up.

Re: Conceding early second half
Good Heavens, There's no need to be so nasty! From what I've seen/ heard Orient have played well in most of the matches. Nice football but failing to score. Some of this is down to bad luck{ eg. could have been 4 up at N'pton}, or lack of a good striker...unfortunately they don't come cheap. Nigel c...

Parking
Here's an idea. There needs to be somewhere to park near the ground. Loads of people would drive as it's cheaper than the train. Somewhere within 15 mins of a walk to the ground. eg. Spitalfields market A bus service could be provided for people with difficulties Space for 200 -300 cars at ca.£5-£10...

Re: Last Night's Ref - AN Amazing Fact
Hi there all
Watched the match last night in deepest Devon where I live now..
Four of us were watching and all said why was that a penalty? He dived and got it.
I'm impressed with the O's, one of the best teams in L1 this season again. They work their socks off.

Re: Macauley Bonne signs for......
All I want to say is Macauley Bonne put in a very good shift at Orient. Ran the length of the pitch, attacking and defending, gave everything. Maybe too late to bring him back, but I can see him doing well at Sarfend. I wish him well.

Re: Travis interview: reflections and plans
What about safe standing? When I was a lad on't north terrace I seem to remember the capacity was ca. 30,000 {Burnley in the cup, wins against Lillypool and Man U etc,] Obviously going back a bit,, but what a team....Stan Charlton, Sid Bishop,Cyril Lee, Mal Lucas DD etc. I digress But I love Brissie...

Re: Where do you live & How did you start to support the O's
I live in North Devon now so home matches are a bridge too far. Born in Lower Clapton, and my dad supported Clapton Orient when they played at Millfields Dog racing stadium. He took me to Brisbane rd. when I was seven in 1957. Three years later I started to go on my own, always on the North terrace ...
