Brexit Party Watch
This thread has been created to discuss all matters about the Brexit party that might not necessarily fit into the Brexit watch thread which crosses all party divides.
Farage has got his meeting with Trump even after his accusation that Downing St tried to stop it from happening.
Any views or thoughts on this?

Re: Brexit Party Watch
Lol, 2 lying A holes will always have plenty to talk about. Did you hear Trump repeat the lie today again that he was in Scotland the day before Brexit and that he predicted Brexit? He wasn't in Scotland, until the day after Brexit and congratulated Scotland for voting for Brexit. Tonk ass. Actually the day before Brexit he was being interviewed on Fake News "Fox News" and was asked for a prediction and he said he couldn't give an answer as he didn't know what would happen.ComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 10:48 pm Lets hope Trump didnt ask what's in his manifesto.........that'll be the shortest conversation in history

Re: Brexit Party Watch
Their tactics in the Peterborough by-election are interesting. Obviously they have no written policies other than leave the EU, currently vaguely and over-simplistically stated as being on WTO terms to appeal to shallow thinkers, so it's no surprise they are campaigning on Brexit only. As an extension of that, they are calling on remainers to vote for the LibDems, in order to split the Labour vote who were their only realistic challengers for the seat. I don’t recall ever seeing something so blatant as that before. Be funny if it backfired and a LibDem sneaked in, but I suspect it’ll work in this instance.

Re: Brexit Party Watch
One Peterborough voter said yesterday "We smashed them in 1945 and 66 and we're gonna smash them again". Didn't say in the piece who he will vote for though. Any guesses?

Re: Brexit Party Watch
Farage arrived at Peterborough last night ready with one of his "man if the people" "career politicians" and " betrayal" speeches. Had to sneak out just before the announcement.

Re: Brexit Party Watch
Exactly, that’s the only way you can win seats is by your offer to the people. That has to be the next phase of their development, policies, and until that happens I can’t see how you can vote for them. In a Euro election, yeah ok that can work, but everyday life you need a little more than that.

If I’m being honest, I really can’t wait for your generation to die out. The last major bastion of regressive, isolationist right wing politics and sky fairy devotion. Pity medicine has improved so much, really. Still, when you get your way and we sell the NHS off, at least you won’t be able to afford the medication that’ll keep your decrepit, xenophobic husks alive any longer.

You are mental, I was just saying what the press were reporting. I would not vote for the Brexit party.

Re: Brexit Party Watch
Mike Greene wasn’t exactly the type of candidate to endear himself to many beyond the gammon faithful. A grubby rentier millionaire who was involved in that shoddy Greybull outfit that dicked British Steel in Scunny (amongst others). Apart from being a neoliberal parasite I’ve no idea what other ideas he had, because neither he nor the Brexit Party hasn’t told anyone what it stands for beyond leaving the EU on WTO terms. Doubt he’s a proper fascist, though. Some on here should check up on the definition - wiki will do.

Re: Brexit Party Watch
Whilst you are wetting your pants searching for the correct definition just remember fascism doesn't start with the concentration camps. That's where it ends.slacker wrote: ↑Fri Jun 07, 2019 12:52 pm Mike Greene wasn’t exactly the type of candidate to endear himself to many beyond the gammon faithful. I’ll stick to Stan Payne’s definitions, thanks very much, comrade. I can see some fascist tendencies in Farridge and his lackeys, which includes the peculiar alliance with the old RCP crew (one of whom is now an MEP), but they are a long way off full-on Mosley yet.

Re: Brexit Party Watch
The Liberal lefties play at this game all the time. They do it for point scoring and impact. Because they are Intolerant of opposite views to their own they have to - at the drop of a hat - resort to racist and fascists slurs against the opposition.Thor wrote: ↑Fri Jun 07, 2019 12:14 pmComoyos I trust that you are still researching your claim.
