Re: Derek Adams ...
Apparently his references didn't check out. What a joke. Surely taking Plymouth up and Ross County to a Scottish Cup and promotion is as good as any reference.

Yes, Derek Adams has done well at Morecambe but I'm more than happy to stick with Jobi . I feel Jobi has the potential to become a really good manager and has improved us in only a short space of time.

Re: Derek Adams ...
IMO I feel we've won more points with Jobi than we would have done under Ross. The sort of improvements you're looking for will only come once we've brought in two or three better players during the Summer. Jobi has done well to get us into this position and should be offered the managers job on a permanent basis.

Stupid comment. As anyone with any sense knows it doesn't have to be one or the other. You can win AND play attractive football as well.tuffers#1 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 17, 2021 8:51 pmWho cares how we PLAY .BiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Sat Apr 17, 2021 4:21 pmImproved us? Re: Derek Adams ...
I posted about Adams ages ago, think he would get you league 1 football no problems but think he would clash with DOF. As for attractive football, think you have to decide if you want to see fancy attacking football and finishing top half or a winning team no matter what kind of football you play?

Re: Derek Adams ...
Possibly but at this stage of the season winning is all that counts .I'd love to see us grab a play off spot or even miraculously gain promotion .EH16 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 18, 2021 11:07 amStupid comment. Whilst I want us to win no matter what, I would not go and watch boring, negative football it does my head in.

Re: Derek Adams ...
Fully agree. We all like to see our own teams get good results, but I also like to see attractive style of open and attacking football played by both teams. I go to matches to be entertained. In years after games have been played, the ones that tend to stick in the memory are the exciting ones where your team won by playing well with good goals scored.PoundhillO wrote: ↑Sun Apr 18, 2021 5:30 pmThat is true but not the case with the O’s which is my major bug bear.

Re: Derek Adams ...
The odd classic sticks in the memory. But for me, what I remember, is what we have achieved. Not too much I agree, but definitely the best bits.Sid Bishop wrote: ↑Sun Apr 18, 2021 8:03 pmFully agree. Re: Derek Adams ...
I wonder what that ‘clash’ between Adams and Embleton was really about when they played at ours earlier this year?

Re: Derek Adams ...
Derek Adams would never come to Orient in a million years, because he wouldn't work under a DOF. He's his own man, and Transfer committees etc would be unacceptable to him for sure

Re: Derek Adams ...
Embleton's inability to control his emotions during games probably resulted in more clashes with opposition staff than we know about.

Re: Derek Adams ...
Except that's not true at all, because if he didn't want the job he wouldn't have interviewed for it. You're making stuff up again because you don't like or understand the way the club is run and are using that as a chance to slate the club.ComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Mon Apr 19, 2021 12:55 pm Derek Adams would never come to Orient in a million years, because he wouldn't work under a DOF. As stated literally a few posts above: viewtopic.php?p=173646#p173646
And : viewtopic.php?p=198175#p198175
And : viewtopic.php?p=163351#p163351
And I could go on even more, but I can't be bothered because you are an ostrich.
