FGR Hi-LItes
Apologies if a fellow boarder has started a thread - I haven't seen it. Extended hi-lites on U-Tube
Poor defending IMO for both FGR goals. Otherwise, pretty even from these hi-lites. Pity DJ was not still on the pitch when their keep dropped the ball as I'm sure he would been in the right place to have poked it in. Our other forwards don't have such prescience.
On the evidence of how he takes free kicks, Wilko should take our penalties IMO

Blimey, most of their attacks went down our right. It's like they targetted us there or something in the way other teams have done this season.
Shame our penalty shout wasn't in there considering they devoted 9 mins to highlights.

Re: FGR Hi-LItes
It's probably the modern way of defending just get bodies behind the ball but no one actually put in a tackle or press them tightly. We all know a little breeze of wind and the forwards fall down crying, dying and screaming in agony so this is why defenders wont tackle.
What a frustrating spectacle!!

Well crosses are statistically a low percentage scoring opportunity so that makes sense.AckneyAwks wrote: ↑Wed Nov 04, 2020 5:38 pm It's probably the modern way of defending just get bodies behind the ball but no one actually put in a tackle or press them tightly. Just making the point that, similar to earlier in the season, teams are targeting our right.

Not quite as bad as Ling ever was but yeah, Akinola was sub par, for definite.Smendrick Feaselberg wrote: ↑Wed Nov 04, 2020 5:27 pm Blimey, most of their attacks went down our right. It's like they targetted us there or something in the way other teams have done this season.

Can't really argue with that.Ronnie Hotdogs wrote: ↑Wed Nov 04, 2020 6:06 pmNot quite as bad as Ling ever was but yeah, Akinola was sub par, for definite.Smendrick Feaselberg wrote: ↑Wed Nov 04, 2020 5:27 pm Blimey, most of their attacks went down our right. Re: FGR Hi-LItes
Poor positioning by Vig for their first goal, he did not cover his near post at all well.

I think it was more that he was too stationary and didn't close the angle. Second was poor positioning from the corner too.Chicken Dhansak wrote: ↑Wed Nov 04, 2020 6:14 pm Poor positioning by Vig for their first goal, he did not cover his near post at all well.![]()
That bailey looks a great player.

I don't think you'll find a better player in the division than their left winger. I think his name was Bailey and on loan from someone.Smendrick Feaselberg wrote: ↑Wed Nov 04, 2020 5:27 pm Blimey, most of their attacks went down our right. In a strange state of affairs I actually thought their other left winger who didn't play named Cadden was the best player I'd seen this season. He tore is apart earlier in the season. And also scored against us.

Re: FGR Hi-LItes
Honestly can't tell whether it was a penalty at that speed. Does anyone know of a way to slow the playing speed down?

Poor angle, I can't see any clear contact from that clip. On the night and from a different camera angle I was sure it was a penalty.Smendrick Feaselberg wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 12:27 pm Honestly can't tell whether it was a penalty at that speed. Gone now so guess we move on. A draw would have been a result we didn't really merit over the 90 minutes

Watching the video on YouTube (or in the YouTube app if on mobile) will let you choose the playback speed - click the options button and then go to playback speed and select 0.25x for quarter speedy o y o y wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 1:02 pmSmendrick Feaselberg wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 12:27 pm Does anyone know of a way to slow the playing speed down?
