Also looking at the interview with Ross, some of his sparkle is back. Good to see. I’m sure he will be a relieved man right now. Him and the team deserve that lift.

Wilkinson's shot before the goal deserved to be the goal scoring shot, but good play by Clay with a first time pass and another poachers finish from DJ.
I know we only see very selected hi-lites of Orient plays, but all the attacks were decent. On another night we'd have gone home with 2-3 goals.

Johnson makes goalscoring look easy. He's turning out to be a real gem

I’d like to give Wilkinson some credit for actually shooting at the goal which helped create the chance.
Too many times we’ll see one of our players get in a good position just outside the box and take the easy option of a pass out wide or back. Keepers will often spill a shot and with DJ sniffing around we should shoot more often .
Clay also did well with the nice pass into DJ’s feet.

I too am totally shocked that our manager looks happier after a win than after a defeat!

Johnson missed that absolute sitter from 2 yards out but other than that, what attacks should we have scored from?

They should have equalised with that header at the end as well if we’re counting missed chances.

His Recent demeanour was not of someone just talking about a defeat, we’ve seen plenty of those. It was quite disturbing. Not Embleton-like at all. He needed that win big time. The performance was the icing on the cake. Pleased for him both as a head coach and a person.

A game of very few chances. Can’t recall them having one on target. We had, what 3 or 4. Can’t see how it can be suggested we could have got 2-3. Possible mathematically but that would have been a good goal to on target shot ratio.

I’m just delighted that in such games we have got DJ who took, what I thought was, a difficult chance.

It was an easy chance. What was he , 7 yards out?

Although not as easy as the one he ballooned over the top earlier, I accept.

Took the goal really well...Clay plays ball into him and with his back to goal his first touch with his right foot enables him to turn and finish with his left.
Was not a easy chance but when a striker is in red hot form he makes it look easy!!

Exactly that, it was an easy chance because of that superb first touch.

Just glad we got a win, even if Tranny were pants. Needed that badly after a string of meh performances.
