Many teams are losing players due to Covid. Including Tranmere. The difference is other teams seem to identify issues and lose a player or players here and there for isolation. We lost 17 in one go and found out thanks to Spurs. hence all the stuff about us not following protocols.

But I do hope with better checking and the risk of getting twice quite small, hopefully this can be less of a problem going forward.

Everyone is not beating everyone. Half the teams have only lost between 0 and 2 games. 10 have lost 1 or less. 8 teams have won 1 or less. There is a clear divide.

Fixtures have been kind to us. 5 of our 7 games against teams in the lower half, managing 5 wins between them, one against us. With Stevenage Saturday that will be 6 from 8 playing struggling team. Stevenage having lost 4 from 7.

Yet despite a kind run of fixtures we remain lower half. We still have the better teams to play. Looking at the Cheltenham and Walsall games we really need to continue last nights improvement to keep any chance of a top half finish.

I said we would finish 9th with 65 points and unless my maths is out of whack we are on trackish as the multiplier puts us at 63 points so kind of inline with my pre season projection. Hopefully the winning streak can continue and our points per game will continue to improve.
