I think an Eskimo would be bemused by cricket, certainly some visitors I had from Finland were.

This used to be shown on Channel 4 in the 80's. Just like what we used to play in break time at school.

A bit like 'British Bulldog'.

Although I rather doubt you're allowed to call it that now.

A bit like ‘murder ball’ which they used to ‘play’ at the local boys club when I was a nipper.
Was just an excuse to have a massive punch up in attempt to carry a rough old bit of leather from one end of the hall to the other. Doubt elf n safety would allow such things today...

Greatest player back from the time it was on C4 was Bulwinder Singh - he was brilliant - the Messi of Kabaddi.

Anyone else used to play 'Chinese' in the playground?

Used to have to kick the ball at anybody else playing and if it hit them above the knee they'd lose a life. Alternatively if they caught it you lost a life.

Used to start with anything upwards of 20+ people and slowly drop down to the winner.

Why Chinese though? That never made sense. Even back then.

You have just confirmed how sad I am and what a pitiful life I have led. I remember him.
