Lucky that free shot at the end was a whisker wide.

A couple of comments. They were a really bad side. They had a bit of pace up top but didn’t exploit it - the only tine they did, their left winger ripped past Marsh and set up their only real chance of the game which Vigaro comfortably saved.

Wilkinson missed another rebound sitter. If that had been his co-striker who had done that, the trappy Angol hater would have been back on here lambasting him but he’s strangely quiet.

Wilkinson also poor positioning for their goal, he needs to be a yard or two back defending the space at the near post. Macca would have headed that away.

Great bit of play from JMD for the goal, initially coming after another one of Marsh’s incredible deliveries into the box.

The rebound seemed to hit Wilkinson rather than he hit it, the ball came back to him very quickly and I don't think he had time to do much about it.

Wilkinson was my MOTH match for his 2nd half performance their full back couldn't play him. If he could finish he wouldn't be with us.

Happe absolutely smashed his shot into the post- he hit it way too hard. Wilkinson had no chance to react toa ball canmoning off the posts from 6 yards away.

Let's hope that Vigaro goes better for you than Samling and JWMD.

Having watched the highlights, 2 things come to mind.


WTF was their keeper doing for 1st goal. It was not a very hard/fast shot and should have been an easy save. Very poor keeping

For their goal, Cisse seems from highlights to have failed to stop their man getting goalside of him. Looks like a defensive mistake

It’s dreadful goalkeeping.

Funnily enough I remember the keeper who played in the away fixture being particularly bad too. Pretty sure he got beaten easily near post for one of our goals. It was a different bloke thought because he looked like a Paddy Kenny tribute act.

I would say both goals were the result of Mansfield mistakes.

Spenn66 has already explained about Dayton's goal and the defender should have been able to hook the ball away for the own goal instead of tamely putting in his own net.
