Because he told Embleton that's where he wants to play and the latter being strong manager that he is says "yup, sure". Came from one of the rambling manager interviews I think.

Can't see it being 4-4-2, more likely this...

More like Sotiriou being as he is a 6'5'' giant of a centre forward, leaping like John Toshack and outjumping all the defenders as the accurate crosses rain in from the wing areas, thus to score or lay off the ball to the close by attacking midfielders just playing in the pockets of space behind him behind

I've only even seen Toshack as a manager and the thought of him leaping is mind blowing
