Seems a good thing Ross has stepped down, otherwise he'd be getting pelters.
Looks like 5 at the back again, and only 6 subs, why not Sotiriou on the bench if we ain't got the numbers?

Very defensive line up. We will see what happens. Why do we only I've 6 subs. I may be wrong but whoever picked the team don't appeared to have learned one thing.
Re: Port Vale (H) Match / Exiles Thread
Looks like they corrected it, Brophy was omitted for some reason.
Can't see what the reasoning is for 5 at the back, 3 defensive midfielders as well. At home at least Gorman or JMD would have provided some directness.
Don't fancy us to create much, perhaps some Dennis solo efforts or long balls up to Wilkinson the most likely.
Getting beat by Swindon was understandable but it'll be very annoying if there is a repeat today.

5 at the back against the mighty Port Vale
Swindon was one thing but being scared of a side in 13th spot, really?

Re: Port Vale (H) Match / Exiles Thread
Afternoon to all. Not inspired by the line-up, not inspired one little bit. Widdowson and Clay on the left are recyclers rather than out and out creaters, Ling and Wright on the right are basically the same. Marsh gets it and gives it simple. We've seen the reluctance of any of Ling, Widdowson, Clay or Wright to make penetrating forward runs... We're going to either be going proper Allerdyce and bypassing midfield altogether (often entirely aimlessly) or we're going to see a lot of sideways and backwards passes. I see a lot of failed transitions today.

Can't blame them for looking to stop the goals against, I'm all for that. If we go a goal down then we'll have a huge problem getting it back with thsi line up. Doesn't Legge normally score against us?

Me to my dad on the way in
"doesn't matter if we get there a few mins late you won't miss anything"
Reverse Jonah worked wonders
Wilkinson now shooting from halfway line

Up to 18th as it stands.
Scunthorpe and Stevenage winning as well.
Another goal for some breathing space will be nice.

Re: Port Vale (H) Match / Exiles Thread
Having scored the goal we now seem to be playing 8-0-2 when Port Vale get the ball. Some panicked defending... and there's the equaliser.

Brill makes a good save there and none of the CBs react. Same old same old in defence. Invite that much pressure and you'll get punished.
