He started as a goodie and then became a baddie. Of course that's according our media which isn't particularly unbiased.

You could say that about nearly every world leader. Not defending Mugabe, horrible man but not exactly a one off.

There wouldn't be much doubt about that, as he has described his predecessor as 'an icon!'

Mugabe was portrayed in the British press
as the Friend of Ian Smith & Nkomo was seen as
The Beast & bad guy of the day.

Only years later did it change to Nkomo was the
man to back & that Mugabe had conned all who
backed his rise to power.
