Next Two Games

Post by Orient_Man_And_Boy »

Sure, two wins would be marvellous but if I had to take just 3 points then a win at Bolton would tactically be better than at Birmingham.

That said, BC have yet to lose at home. Wouldn’t THAT be nice.

Bolton and Charlton were always the most important of this block of 4 games, for tactical reasons as you say.

We’ve shown last night that despite their millions, wr are a far better footballing side than Wrexham. I’m looking forward to seeing if we’re also better than Birmingham.

Birmingham is a free hit for us.

I actually thought we outplayed Birmingham in the home game for vast parts of the game, and that was during our period of bad form and bad results. Appreciate it was early season and they will also no doubt have improved, the table doesn’t lie etc., but I can’t wait to see how we can perform against them. Not going to be able to go which is a bit gutting.

Excited for Birmingham away. Big stadium, big club, top of the table and zero pressure. They will probably win but the what if feeling is hard to shake.

Only issue is trains back to London from Birmingham being a mare. Either chancing the 10.17 or sticking around till 11.11 and not getting home till 2am...

I get it but we’ve moved on from that. This isn’t little Leyton Orient anymore.

I’m not saying we will win - we can’t win every game - but if no more injuries, if Richie gets the game plan right, and if everyone performs, we will probably win.

I fully expect 6 points from these games to keep us on track for a 98 point autopromo.

Didn't Northampton beat them at home 1-0 ?

We're ten points behind Wycombe who are in 2nd place . Although doable it's a massive ask to catch them .

It can and will be done. We're not Li'l Ole Leyton Orient anymore. Get that out of your head. I will miss it too but we've moved way beyond that now.

We are still to play Wycombe which cuts the deficit to 7 and they will drop 7 in other games allowing us to sail through on GD.

Failing that we will cruise through the play offs to Wembley. I just hope we don't screw that up like we usually do. Roll on 25 May. Exciting times.

Ps checked the price of rooms at the Wembley Park Premier Inn for 25/5 and alls I can say is FFS Ling.

I'll take 2 draws or a win and a defeat from the next two games; the latter is the better points-wise.

Oh dear. I was channelling Henry Hoover and mocking our American overlords (present &future) on that particular post. I suspect Henry was Wuming too but it's hard to tell with him.

However, there can be no doubt something has changed for the better. Onwards and upwards all the way to the Championship
