Buzz about the town
I was walking down Leyton High Road yesterday and couldn't help but notice that Saturday's game wasn't what everyone was talking about, bunting was not up in all the shop windows, not even so much as the local baker having made a commemorative cake. No wonder we're never on the BBC, we've given them nothing.

Re: Buzz about the town
Not surprising though is it?
How many businesses in the high road are run by local fans? Maybe the cafe and the coach and horses at a push? The Albanian cocktail bar isn’t going to be putting on an Orient special drink.
As for the residents, I doubt once you filter out the three times a season hipsters that there’s many fans left in E10.
More likely to be more of a buzz in Hornchurch or Witham

Re: Buzz about the town
Nothing happening in the Hamlet of Hornchurch.
The Fatling & Suttons Arms are pushing that they are showing the Six Nations Rugby. But that's not surprising as they all support Wet Spam around here, a pick-up point for the away matches of Wet Spam is outside the Railway Tavern. However, our next door but two neighbours are Orient supporters and go to some matches and we see the occasional Os supporter getting on the District Line train at Hornchurch with us on match days. But we are, for sure, in the minority.

Re: Buzz about the town
A few pubs ie Engineer are advertising the match is being shown. Royal Cafe always has pictures & O's stuff up. Northcote showing too & they have the old Gable up. Orient kebabs may have a special deal

Re: Buzz about the town
I think most of the pubs are opening at 09:00 and taking bookings. Many have sold out already. (Not sure if they’re allowing walk ins).
I think there is more of a buzz thank people might think and everyone I talk to on the manor is excited and invested (even if a casual fan or, you’d never believe it, supports Spurs)

TBF at present the buzz around Leyton is the Council chainsawing down the backstreet trees they planted that have been growing into property foundations.
