It isnt the first time Owen has been attacked/beaten by far right fascist types. Im not sure if they beat him up for being gay, or for being left-wing.....or both, but its disgusting that that kind of thing still happens.
I saw it reported by Owen, on twitter, and i was shocked by the many comments agreeing, he deserved it and he'll get more etc etc .
Fascism is coming back in a big way and we all have stand against it, like our fathers and grandfathers did, and we have to call it out whenever we see it, and in whatever guise it is

For 99.9% of the population in their 20’s and 30’s who get into a bit of bother in the early hours it’s just one of those things. For Owen, the streets are full of far right thugs out to get him because he is on the left and Gay. Bet they didn’t have a clue who he was.

Read his account of what happened. He was singled out, his friends were not set upon. They of course came to his aid but it wasn't random.

As for others saying that Owen approved of similar attacks, throwing a milkshake at someone is completely different to being jumped on and kicked by a group of thugs.

Agree totally, all guises are dangerous. Though it's totalitarianism that's the dangerous thing rather then just fascism or libertarianism mislabelled as fascism.

In regards to the most in your face facism which I guess you are referring to, the issue of Islamofascism and Wahhabism is a big one but the western left often come to the defence of these which is a major issue. This has contributed to the rise of traditional western far right fascism which also needs stamping out at the same time. The human race is f*cked.

We could even open up the debate about the far left/antifa, who are maybe the most realistic example of fascists around at the current time if we want simple labels.
