Play Offs
78 points should do it. 60 points required from 29 games. 2.07 points per game but assuming we win our next 6 then a far more manageable 1.83 for the 2nd half of the season. Barring injuries on our way to the EFL Trophy and 6th round of the FA Cup I’m feeling fairly confident. Up the Os!

Re: Play Offs
I’m assuming your post is tongue in cheek but to be honest I would be more than happy with us not getting relegated this season.

Re: Play Offs
Oldham was our season changing Cheltenham away moment (from last season). As long as we’ve learnt not to get 2 Premiership U12 planks in January, then our campaign will be far more sustained this season.

Re: Play Offs
Punxx seems to have gone absolutely mental over a win against the worst team in the division. Let's see if he has the same assertions after we play the better teams in the league.

At the end of the Oldham game I also commented to my friends that JK’s goal could be a pivotal moment.Orient Punxx wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 1:56 pm Oldham was our season changing Cheltenham away moment (from last season). Why are the worst team in the division hiding up in mid table? That’s sneaky.Chicken Dhansak wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 3:49 pm Punxx seems to have gone absolutely mental over a win against the worst team in the division. Re: Play Offs
I’d be happier to finish where we are in 16th but I agree with you. Considering how much money was thrown around by other clubs in the Summer this season was always going to be tougher than last season. League One survival would be good .

Re: Play Offs
Need to remember that we have Clare to come back in January and he will make a big difference in midfield.

Re: Play Offs
I would think Clare is going to take some time after a fairly lengthy layoff to get back to full fitness and match fitness.
Don’t think we will see his best till at least one to two months after his return.
We’ve seen with Dom Ball how long it can take, ok, Clare’s lay off & injury is less, but I think, as fans, we tend to underestimate how long it take after an injury to get back to where a player was pre injury.

Re: Play Offs
We've played all the better teams, Wycombe were the only one who tonked us. Hemming caused half the losses. JK changed everything in goal.Chicken Dhansak wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 3:49 pm Punxx seems to have gone absolutely mental over a win against the worst team in the division. Re: Play Offs
Essential that JK remains in goal for Tuesday. 1) I want us to progress 2) we need to retain the consistency at the back as we no doubt rotate the back 4 in this game and over the festive period.Pugwash wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2024 11:52 amWe've played all the better teams, Wycombe were the only one who tonked us. Re: Play Offs
No , Hemming in goal Tuesday night . I don't want us to run the risk of Keeley getting injured in a " nobody cares" competition. Anyway , Hemming needs game time incase Keeley does get injured or completely loses form.Orient Punxx wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2024 4:45 pmEssential that JK remains in goal for Tuesday.
As much as I have complete disdain for the EFL Trophy to keep the winning vibe going it's got to be Keeley in goal. Hemming is a busted flush at this point and surely going back in January if we can end the loan early, nothing to be gained playing him now.

Re: Play Offs
We've earned double the money from this than we did in the League cup, beat Charlton we will earn the same as the prize money for winning a LC QF. More wins means more January transfer funds. I Care for this than the efl LC any dayRedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2024 5:05 pmNo , Hemming in goal Tuesday night . Re: Play Offs
And what about gate receipts? A League Cup QF would get many multiples the number of punters through the door than this tinpot fixture.Pugwash wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2024 11:13 pmWe've earned double the money from this than we did in the League cup, beat Charlton we will earn the same as the prize money for winning a LC QF.
