Well Done the Under 18's
Through to the Third round of the FA Youth Cup after beating Whitehawk 6-0 last night this after beating Aldershot in Round One. They will be hoping for a good draw in round Three.
Parents of the Whitehawk players were extremely upset that they had to pay for the coach to the game last night, it was Whitehawk youths biggest game having never reached this far and it does seem rather churlish to ask kids representing your club to pay for/towards their own coach.

Re: Well Done the Under 18's
Presumably a minibus would have been big enough, not a full on coach?
Do they not normally have to pay to get to away games then?

It would possibly be big enough but when hiring a minibus or 52 seater there is not much in the price the last time I used one.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Wed Nov 20, 2024 1:49 pm Presumably a minibus would have been big enough, not a full on coach?

Sorry mate, I don’t believe it’s normal for step 3 u18 teams to lay on free travel to away games.

Re: Well Done the Under 18's
Surely it should be an internal discussion between the parents and officials of Whitehawk FC.
I can’t imagine the club are flush with cash to cover a coach regardless.

That’s OK mate the mere fact you had to ask proves you know the square root of F all anyway.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Wed Nov 20, 2024 5:38 pm Sorry mate, I don’t believe it’s normal for step 3 u18 teams to lay on free travel to away games.

It’s a weird one to try and make an issue of on here. ‘Oooh look at me, I spoke to the away teams parents at the fa youth cup match last night’.

Re: Well Done the Under 18's
Not an issue but it’s very odd to make under 18s representing your club pay for transport no matter what the level. Could easily have got it sponsored by a local company. Not great making their youth team pay.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Wed Nov 20, 2024 7:11 pmIt’s a weird one to try and make an issue of on here. ‘Oooh look at me, I spoke to the away teams parents at the fa youth cup match last night’.

Re: Well Done the Under 18's
Was the payment not by the parents for their seats on the coach rather than the players. Seems odd to me that everyone expected to ride for free given the additional cost of hiring a coach.Top of the JES wrote: ↑Wed Nov 20, 2024 7:33 pmNot an issue but it’s very odd to make under 18s representing your club pay for transport no matter what the level. The under 18's having to pay £20 each for a coach to represent the club in a history making game is a disgrace from hawks #whitehawkfc
