This global outage - it it affecting anyone on here? All my systems seem to be working, and the board seems unaffected, but was kind of hoping that Outlook and Teams would go into meltdown.

Personal laptops will be unaffected. Issue occurring on large corporation Microsoft servers that have installed the faulty cyber security software.

I'm no IT expert but, if this guy is and he's correct, then this could be quite serious.

In a lot of cases yes. I believe there are tools to remotely access that recovery environment, but if you aint got it and you're affected you'll be busy.

Pray for admins.

I don’t work Fridays but apparently some vehicle lookups are down.

My mate is completing on a house today and the banks systems might stop that happening…

George Kurtz, CEO of Crowdstrike was CTO at McAfee back in 2010 when they issued a dodgy data update which brought millions of PC's down. Is he just unlucky?

Apocalyptic traits must run in the family. His Dad Walter was a Colonel in the US military during the Vietnam War. He deserted, went mad and recruited a bunch of followers who worshipped him in the camp he ran in the heart of the jungle.

We were one of the first to be hit by this with our lvdi sessions hanging and needing to be restarted about 5 hours before you posted this. After a couple of hours a workaround was found, surprised the problems persisted for so long.
