Why do moderators do an adequate job on here?

Disgusted to see a thread where a user expresses their opinion and another user is allowed to call them a “boring f*ck” without any consequences.
This should be a place for open discussion and the sharing of opinions. Abusing/bullying users for simply having a different opinion to you is not on. Why is it allowed on here?

They’ll happily issue banning a if the abuse is aimed their way (even when fully deserved).

My advice to you if I may,is to just ignore them,put them on foe,these people feed off winding people up,they have no creditable arguments they do it for a reaction and nothing more. That’s why I came off for a short time,they draw you in,there very cleaver but I’m convinced it’s the work of one or two people that have a few aliases,there can’t be that many idiots around?? Stick to the people that are sensible and have creditable arguments and discussions which there are many. Don’t let the few spoil it for the many
