Sol Brynn
Immense performance today.
We should have been 1-0 down early in the first half when their bloke was through in goal. Sol made himself big and stopped what I thought was a certain goal. Pulled off at least 3 match winning saves this afternoon, including one from point blank towards the end.
His command and overall presence in the box is a huge bonus for us, especially when trying to squeeze out a 1-0 win and under the cosh.
I agree with Richie - I think he has the potential to be a top keeper in the future. We’re lucky to have him. Let’s just keep our fingers crossed that he stays fit for the whole season. It’s no coincidence that our positive turn in form coincided with his return to the starting XI

Re: Sol Brynn
Yes that save in the 1st half was immense,
If Shrewsbury score first then it’s a totally different game and I’m not sure that we had two goals in us to come back and win.
I think today our defence got us through and we really needed that 2nd goal to make the game safe.

Re: Sol Brynn
Good point about the rest of the defence. Omar seems to be back at it after his wobbly start of the season, and this new cooper fella seems very competent.Cheshunto wrote: ↑Sat Sep 23, 2023 7:32 pm Yes that save in the 1st half was immense,

I thought losing Vigouroux would be a huge loss but it really has not been with Brynn as a replacement

Re: Sol Brynn
We’ve signed a collection of very good players this summer. I have backed Orient for top 6. Anyone inclined to do similar, should grab the current standout 16/1 with Bet365.

Re: Sol Brynn
Brynns either looked calm and assured or bang average. I guess consistency is the thing that young keepers need most work on but overall I’m happy with the signing but will make a judgement on him compared to Vigs after at least half a season

Re: Sol Brynn
Brynn is a good shot stopper, work needed on commanding his box to deal with incoming crosses.Rich Tea Wellin wrote: ↑Mon Sep 25, 2023 6:56 am Brynns either looked calm and assured or bang average.
