What will happen after the universe ends?
Will it be the end of life forever?
Will another universe come into existence?
Is our current universe eternal?
What do you think?
Will another universe come into existence?
Is our current universe eternal?
What do you think?

Re: What will happen after the universe ends?
We'll finally settle the debate as to whether Corbyn could have won the 2017 election had it not been for interference from those meddlesome kids.
Re: What will happen after the universe ends?
I will have had the last post on the trans debate thread.
But seriously, there’s no such thing as “after” in that context; the flow of time as we perceive it is an emergent property of the universe, not an independent concept that the universe exists within.

Based on no knowledge whatsoever, I reckon all matter pulses from a singularity to a near-infinite universe and back again ad infinitum - so that we're experiencing consciousness during one of those pulses.

UK would still have left the EU and Corbyn would have had the Uk join a trading block of Russia, China and North Korea !Loin Cloth Lenny wrote: ↑Mon Sep 11, 2023 12:48 pmHad he won how do you think the country would be faring now?

Why are we here in the first place? . Were we here before? Even experts can only take their best guess. My guess is everything starts all over again when the universe gets to the very end. You could call it a sort of rebirth .

It is already starting in China !!
China wants to ban clothes that 'hurt nation's feelings'
A draft law banning speech and dressing "detrimental to the spirit of Chinese people" has sparked debate in China.
If the law comes into force, people found guilty could be fined or jailed but the proposal does not yet spell out what constitutes a violation.
Social media users and legal experts have called for more clarity to avoid excessive enforcement.
China recently released a swathe of proposed changes to its public security laws - the first reforms in decades.
The clothing law has drawn immediate reaction from the public - with many online criticising it as excessive and absurd.

Who is he, why is he here, who are they , what next , what is he doing, not another one, where has he got that lot come from? Why is he booting Andy Hessenthaler up his bottom?

The universe will go on infinite as one part winds down and fades away another part starts up somewhere else. In the next, I wanna see us beat sage

Re: What will happen after the universe ends?
Thanks Bard
The ultimate fate of the universe is still unknown. There are several possible scenarios, each with its own set of implications.
The Big Freeze: The universe continues to expand forever, and eventually all the stars and galaxies will die out. The universe will become increasingly cold and dark.
The Big Rip: The expansion of the universe accelerates to the point where it tears apart even atoms and subatomic particles.
The Big Crunch: The expansion of the universe slows down and eventually reverses. The universe collapses in on itself, ending in a massive singularity.
The Big Bounce: The Big Crunch is followed by another Big Bang, creating a new universe.
Conformal Cyclic Cosmology: The universe goes through an endless cycle of expansion and contraction.
It is also possible that the universe will end in a way that we cannot even imagine. We simply do not have enough information to know for sure what will happen.
Here are some additional details about each of the scenarios:
The Big Freeze: This is the most likely scenario, according to current cosmological models. The expansion of the universe is accelerating due to the presence of dark energy, which is a mysterious force that makes up about 70% of the universe. As the universe expands, the galaxies will move further and further apart, and eventually the light from distant galaxies will redshift so much that it will be impossible to see. Stars will also die out, and eventually the universe will be a cold, dark place.
The Big Rip: This scenario is less likely, but it is still possible. If dark energy has a negative pressure, it could cause the expansion of the universe to accelerate to the point where it tears apart even atoms and subatomic particles. This would happen very quickly, and there would be no way to escape.
The Big Crunch: This scenario is also less likely, but it is still possible. If the expansion of the universe slows down enough, it could eventually reverse and the universe could collapse in on itself. This would lead to a massive singularity, similar to the Big Bang.
The Big Bounce: This scenario is based on the idea that the Big Bang was not the beginning of the universe, but rather a moment of contraction in an endless cycle of expansion and contraction. In this scenario, the Big Crunch would be followed by another Big Bang, creating a new universe.
Conformal Cyclic Cosmology: This is a more speculative scenario proposed by Sir Roger Penrose. In this scenario, the universe goes through an endless cycle of expansion and contraction, but the laws of physics change in each cycle. This would allow the universe to evolve from a simpler state to a more complex state, with the possibility of life emerging in each cycle.
Ultimately, the fate of the universe is a mystery. We may never know for sure what will happen, but it is an interesting and important question to ponder. It is, of course, possible that someone "up there" will just reboot the simulation and start again.
