Re: Bishop Stortford game
I think you have next to 0% chance of that after RW's interview after Colchester. Players wrapped up in cotton wool after the battering they took physically on Saturday.
If not banned expect Archibald and a bunch of academy players and maybe even a trialist if we're short on numbers.

I think Tom James might play - he was awful Saturday and Wellens described him as Lethargic.
It’s going to be mainly young pro’s but worth seeing some future prospects.

Archibald banned for Bishops Stortford, but thankfully not Charlton.gshaw wrote: ↑Mon Jul 31, 2023 6:30 pmI think you have next to 0% chance of that after RW's interview after Colchester. Players wrapped up in cotton wool after the battering they took physically on Saturday.

If you're hoping to see the team that will play at Charlton, I'd stay at home!!

Thought we played better at Colchester after the so called better players went off.

Re: Bishop Stortford game
I don’t think so . After getting injuries on Saturday RW won’t risk getting anymore.

Re: Bishop Stortford game
Makes you wonder why we have so many pre season games if we are worried about injuries, or top players like TJ being “Lethargic “ .
Richie obviously doesn’t like pre season games but I guess they are a necessary ‘ evil ‘.

Re: Bishop Stortford game
It’s a tough one tonight for RW
Players need game time, some more than others by comments RW made in his interview.
But after picking up a couple of injuries on Sat, we can’t risk anymore, so as much as we would like to see a strong starting 11 start tonight, we won’t, as RW needs to protect certain players/positions, so we can field the strongest starting 11 v Charlton on Sat.
So players will not be risked, not at the expense of more potential injuries.
I expect the team to have a very youthful look tonight.

Let's hope the pitch is properly prepared, the Colchester pitch was terrible, no wonder RW complained in his post-match interview.

We should have refused to play it. I hope we don’t play them again any time soon because of this. No excuses, it’s been pissing down for a month and they’ve had 6 weeks without any games.
