Isn't it? So what's the point of supporting this football club? Just turn up and watch the absolute poo poo Martin Ling has cobbled together infront of us for £300 a year and not question any of it?Millennial Snowflake wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 10:54 am Because it’s not the fans’ business to know why a player isn’t being selected. It isn't paranoia or needing reassurance, it's questioning why he isn't starting over one of the worst players in the football league.Smendrick Feaselberg wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 5:32 pm There really is a lot of paranoia about the right back position, isn't there? Would fans want constant reassurance about our squad players at that position if it wasn't Samling filling that position? I suspect not.
Judd's status isn't being purposely ignored, though would be intetested to hear the club's view.
3 seasons. 1 promotion already. Embarrassing yourself because you personally dislike Ling as a man.BiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 6:11 pmIsn't it? Fair comment.Chicken Dhansak wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 6:22 pm How can it possibly be a tactic to let the opposition left winger or left full back run into acres of space, you're going to get murdered down
that wing all the time. It appears to me that our wide right midfielder and RB are clearly not of the standard to play in those positions.

Orient limped over the line? You mean the Orient that finished three points clear with a big enough goal difference advantage that it might as well have been four points?BiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 7:15 pmLearn to read.PoliticOs wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 6:38 pm3 seasons. 1 promotion already. 3 failed managerial appointments, unbalanced squad every year, contracts given to the undeserving. Orient limped over the line in that promotion and that promotion was down to Justin Edinburgh being very good at his job. Nothing to do with Ling. I don’t dislike Martin Ling, I don’t know him. I’m talking about him in his role at the club.
I must have imagined the last 7 games of the season that started with a loss to Bromley. Harrold scoring in the last minute to secure a draw. Two last minute winners. A good win at home and then finished off with 2 draws.Smendrick Feaselberg wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 9:12 pmOrient limped over the line? It wasn't; we just did what we needed to do at the end of the season, which is very different from limping over the line. The time we scored goals was irrelevant - sign of a good team to keep going to the end (and Salford more than matched us in the late goals department) and continuing to pick up points. Bromley was a blip and the following game we looked shaky still. In the penultimate game we got the draw we set out to achieve (as opposed to a loss against Solihull heaping pressure onto the last game) and we only needed a draw in that final game and again achieved what we needed to.BiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 10:23 pmI must have imagined the last 7 games of the season that started with a loss to Bromley. The form from January til the end was poor. Yeah, Orient went up but don't re-write history to think it was plain sailing. It was Justin and his experience who pushed those players over the line. It was a bigish goal difference because of the first half of the season's form and it was 3 points because Salford bottled it at the end of the season, that's why they finished 3rd.
You're misremembering the performances. Why was everyone so edgy and the performances so poor if it wasn't limping over the line?Smendrick Feaselberg wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 11:01 pmIt wasn't; we just did what we needed to do at the end of the season, which is very different from limping over the line. From.your comments about us and Salford it's almost like there was a tonne of pressure at the business end of the season but our team handled that far better than them.
Yeah and it showed with poor performances from January onwards, key injuries and nearly f*cking it up but they didn't. Therefore, limped over the line. There's a difference between playing decent and winning your last 7 matches to what Orient did.
I do remember the performances, but still we kept collecting points despite those. And I'll repeat that responding to the situation and getting the results we needed without the risk of blowing promotion in the last two games does not equate to limping over the line. Even though two wins would have been nice and changed your perception of our last 7 games.BiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 11:09 pmYou're misremembering the performances. My point was it wasn't plain sailing and it had nothing to do with Martin Ling but everything to do with Justin Edinburgh.
I pay O2 money each month to use my phone. Must be my business to know why Sandra got promoted to marketing manager instead of Hattie when the latter was clearly better at her job.BiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 6:11 pmIsn't it? It's pretty standard for interviewers to ask why players aren't featuring. Look at last night, Dave enquired as to why Turley and Thomas hadn't been involved the last couple of games.Millennial Snowflake wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 9:22 amI pay O2 money each month to use my phone.
