If we knick a win at Bristol Rovers on New years day & they lose to Birmingham its 3 with a game in hand

We could easily make the play offs
We now have an excellent goalkeeper who is giving the defence more confidence

Pretty disappointing that my assumption failed. However, back on track with 2 wins (Shrews & Posh), which will bring down the requirement to 1.81 points per game. Then game on!

Indeed . We're only four points outside the playoff places so we have given ourselves a great chance this season .

It really all hinges on how far Nigel and his new pals are willing to reach into their pockets.

Injuries could well be a stumbling block , maybe a couple of players in quickly

1.9047 points per game now required. Manageable but needs to be closer to a par 1.7, which gets 78 point from 46 games. As good as there when we win our next 3 league games, after Tuesday’s step closer to our first Wembley day out of the season.

We just need to get as many points as the teams behind us then 2 out of the following 3 - same points as Stockport, 1 more point than Barnsley or 3 more points than Reading.

It’s absolutely achievable.

Indeed it is but it’s in our own hands if we get 78 points. Only 1 season in the last 10 would that have not got a play off place.

That’s my point. It’s not in our hands if we achieve an arbitrary number you’ve decided upon. It’s in our hands if we match or better as I’ve detailed.

Never experienced us getting promoted via the play offs!

Before Xmas I said the play offs were way out of our reach , I'm beginning to dream now

Win our game in hand on wrexham & beat them away we'd only be 5 points behind them.
Still not sure if Wycombe losing Bloomfield will mean they fade away. Wrexham are crap away from home
Huddersfield are strange. Dropped points for fun then 16 unbeaten & lose today.

A big if but are automatics totally out of the question should we keep winning?

I remember Wrexham perfectly. The season turned on a home game vs Lincoln in December, and was aided by Kevin Campbell on loan.
