1,000 met officers currently suspended or on restricted duties. That sounds like quite a lot.

Aside from the 1,000 criminals currently suspended, what the effing fuk were the superior officers who are supposed to run it doing?

I agree about your comments about senior officers. Lack of supervision is a major issue. However, there is a breakdown in standards and decency in society as a whole I would argue and the police are not the only institution where staff discipline is of deep concern. It was reported this week that at one prison alone in the UK, 18 female wardens have been sacked for inappropriate relationships with male inmates, sexual relationships, drugs and phone smuggling etc.ChorizO wrote: ↑Wed Sep 20, 2023 5:51 amAs what?Max B Gold wrote: ↑Tue Sep 19, 2023 7:50 pmThe whole organisation is not fit for purpose.

The BMA have had numerous doctors disciplined or struck off for sexual wrongdoing’s. The police are drawn from the public pool, nowhere else to recruit from. They have lowered standards to meet diversity targets and a disproportionate amount of ethnic officers are not making the grade or being disciplined out of the service. A friend of mine is in police recruitment as a civilian he tells me they were turning blind eyed to matters that would have led to a refusal 3 years ago.

By disproportionately being dismissed , they are failing the grade, to last it out and progress their careers. Some reasons for dismissal are quite serious .Long slender neck wrote: ↑Wed Sep 20, 2023 4:52 pmWhich bit says 'ethnic' officers arent making the grade?Loin Cloth Lenny wrote: ↑Wed Sep 20, 2023 4:47 pmhttps://touch.policeoracle.com/news/art ... ?id=107700
How do we know they are not failing the grade because of racism in an institutionally and literally racist organisation?Loin Cloth Lenny wrote: ↑Wed Sep 20, 2023 5:50 pmBy disproportionately being dismissed , they are failing the grade, to last it out and progress their careers. That has been alleged as a possible reason , however if you look at the make up of the various disciplinary boards, they have gone a long way to address this by them hiringStillSpike wrote: ↑Wed Sep 20, 2023 6:10 pmThat doesn't sound very likely, does it?Max B Gold wrote: ↑Wed Sep 20, 2023 5:59 pmHow do we know they are not failing the grade because of racism in an institutionally and literally racist organisation?Loin Cloth Lenny wrote: ↑Wed Sep 20, 2023 5:50 pm

Probably not. They have families and do not want to be jailed for years for doing their job they have been trained to do.Give it to Jabo wrote: ↑Sun Sep 24, 2023 10:20 am The fact that a number of serving armed officers have downed tools over the future prosecution of Chris Kaba is deeply worrying and suggests they are out of control.
